Fergie to retire

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I don't think so, Moyes looks nailed on, also I doubt utd would want the Mourinho circus or his ego. Would be hilarious if he did though, with the chavski scum assuming his return is a done deal.

Fergie is gone,Benitez is going and its likely Mancini will go and guess who is going nowhere? What a mad world we live in

Fergie's record is unbeliveable. The greatest manager ever no doubt about it.He never accepted finishing 2nd.He's a winner and will leave as a winner

I always thought Mourinho would take over from him.Moyes has never won anything and is a novice in Europe.Mourinho has been there and done it

Absolutely phenomenal manager, obviously no denying that.

But I can't say I really care that much - United are miles better than us now, they'll be miles better than us next season and probably every season until we get a manager with tactical nous and ambition and are willing to spend some fucking money. It would mean one million times more to me if our own manager left.

United will still be media darlings and borderline untouchable because no media outlet is fucking stupid enough to try and royally piss off 30% of football fans in the country.

I'm not saying it's not justified but it's times like this I'm glad I don't really watch TV other than catch-up or live football because I don't really fancy Ferguson tributes playing on loop.

Let the Mourinho chat begin. Can't see Moyes getting it to be honest.

   I'll take Hlebby's comments with a pinch of salt!

Man United sources have said they have "appointed" his successor, but he has to "resign from his current job before they can announce it". Would say Jose or Moyes then. If it is Moyes, I'd see Roberto Martinez taking over at Everton.
