pl games this weekend

Sounds like Villa have absolutely collapsed although somewhat understandable with Benteke deciding to complete the job he attempted to do first half in being a stupid *word censored*.

To be honest the odds of us finishing above Chelsea but below Spurs are very slim in any circumstances but obviously I'd prefer to finish above both.

Think Villa must have scuffed about 4 clearances straight to Chelsea players before they finally stuck that in. Always likely to concede when they were sitting back so deep.

A Villa win would have made the whole top and bottom half interesting. Stoke would have needed at least a point tomorrow. Wigan would have needed QPR to win to keep them mathematically in the league.

Villa will stay up but needWigan to not get max 6pts

Welldone Chelsea. True inspiration. If you have a problem, just spend your way out of it.

Give it a rest for 5 mins.

They were looking tired and clueless even with 11. The game only changed because Villa lost their outlet upfront.

Cahill, Azpilicuetta and Tery were given a hard time in the first half could have had the cigars out in the second thanks to the beast of brussels :banghead:

How did you work that one out? :?

Realistically even if Wigan win at our place and beat Villa then there are still 4 other teams who'll need to win one of there last two games to relegate Villa, they're safe.

On the back of a fag pack

Couldn't be arsed to look up the table too f**ked off.

If Sunderland,Newcastle and Norwich all win today then Villa only need a point at Wigan assuming they beat us.

Just really wanted all those teams to win to effectly relegate Wigan before tuesday.....I hate hoping for sh*t. Always better to not have the hope, it's less stressful. :(

At least we know effectively there's only one place up for grabs. I'd like to say come on Stoke but I'd feel too f**king dirty

The important thing is whether or not we turn up, not them. We are fucking miles better than Wigan, end of season or not.

Even if Wigan are motivated and play well, if we play to anywhere near our potential we'll almost definitely turn them over anyway. Conversely, if we are as appalling as we've shown we can be with constant sideways passing, no tempo and the occasional defensive fuck-up then we'll make Wigan's job easy for them and make them look a far better side (especially defensively) than they are regardless of their confidence and motivation, and more than likely not win the game.

Besides, I think the most important game for their frame of mind is their own - tbh they need to get something at our place in any event really regardless of the other results, but the FA Cup final is such an emotional drain (particularly if they lose). Likewise I don't think playing a safe Newcastle is necessarily any more advantageous than one in deep trouble on the final day. They showed in 2009 and also on a few occasions this season that they're arguably more likely to wilt under pressure in front of their own fans than use it to raise their game.

Once you've got Chelsea's cock out of your mouth   (you do seem obsessed with how wonderful they are :? ) can you please explain why you keep banging on about how tired we look compared to the chavs? - we look average (because we are) but we're hardly huffing and puffing... we play once a week and are the form team in the league since the start of February!

Chelsea are a good side who have built up momentum. We're an average side who have built up momentum.

The sad thing is, there's plenty of legitimate reasons to be angry and bitter at Arsenal about, but this bizarre fixation with our fitness compared to their's smacks of trying too hard to be negative. :?
