Re: ARSENALS WEEKLY WAGE
obviously it's made up, few comments
I thought our kids are on far better than average money. Isn't £750pw pretty standard?
Arshavin - wasn't he our top earner on nearly £100k pw?
Santi on £70k sounds low TR on £80k sounds high...

Let me guess... he earns moreQuartzGooner wrote:That list has been going round the internet for a few months.
I know that it is not accurate because someone I know got sent an Arsenal player's wage slip in the post by mistake (they get a fair bit of his mail) and told me what they got paid, and it is not what is on that list.

Isn't opening someone else's mail a prisonable offence ?

Re: ARSENALS WEEKLY WAGE
Too many are getting worked up about whether the totals for individual players are right while missing the bigger picture. The undisputable fact that the club has a £143m wage bill to finish 4th.And that Wenger and Gazidis take £10m out of the club between them.Thats what you should be talking about not whether Cazorla is on 70 or 80k a week.
All this bull about Arsenal having £70m to spend is just that bullshit. We are not going to pay £30m on a world class player and give him £200k a week(£10m a year).Dream on

I don't think people are missing the bigger picture at all - it's just that figure has been in the public domain for the best part of a year so people naturally aren't going to start posting the same things they were months ago when it was first revealed. Jesus every tenth post on this board is about our wages, whether it be slating how much we pay lost causes, how much Wenger earns or how we'll never pay the wages to attract some player or another. It's not that people don't realise that our wage bill is unjustified - they're just sick of posting about it.donaldo wrote:Too many are getting worked up about whether the totals for individual players are right while missing the bigger picture. The undisputable fact that the club has a £143m wage bill to finish 4th.And that Wenger and Gazidis take £10m out of the club between them.Thats what you should be talking about not whether Cazorla is on 70 or 80k a week.

I actually told them that if it had happened to me, I would have simply sent the letter back to Arsenal or taken it to the player's house (if I knew the correct address) and certainly not opened it.
I was surprised that the club sent wage slips out by post, would have thought they would be collected by the players at the training ground.
Re: ARSENALS WEEKLY WAGE
That is surely the case. In fact I don't know anywhere that sends a wage slip out by post. My guess is that your acquaintance is telling porkies.QuartzGooner wrote:It is not a friend of mine, but an aquaintance.StuartL wrote:QuartzGooner wrote:That list has been going round the internet for a few months.

I can only presume Rosicky is being groomed for a coaching role. There's no way else I can see him justifiying 80k a week,

No, they were telling the truth, that is the bizarre thing.Clash wrote:That is surely the case. In fact I don't know anywhere that sends a wage slip out by post. They get quite a few letters for the player.
My aquaintance is not a kid in a pub but a grown adult in their late 40's, and not an Arsenal fan either.
They showed the wage slip to someone else who verified it (though I did not see the actual wage slip).

I've also just spoken to someone who said that he does get his payslip sent through the post so I withdraw what I said. Would have thought something like a payslip is too confidential for that but clearly not.
