Ingerland/Scotland

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Its a Lambert love in.

Shinned one onto the post from 5 yards and could have set up a tap in for the Ox if he'd of squared it at the end rather than skew a shit shot wide. Emile Heskey mark 2.

Can you imagine being in Rickie Lambert's head right now, from beetroot packer to league 2/3rd division to scoring the winning goal against the auld enemy in your home debut for your country...who needs drugs with that kind of high

Christ Rodders, the guy's 31 and hasn't been in a pampered prem league team for decades or some golden generation c**t, he deserves it. I don't be grudge him, till he scores against us, then he is just another w**ker

Northern Ireland deserves the win. They were very solid defensively and Russia didn't even have a single shot on target  Very bad performance by Russia, especially when you consider Ireland were missing Jonny Evans and Lafferty. We had loads of possession but never really tested Ireland. We seemed to freeze everytime we got the ball into the box. Reminds of another team that plays in red shirts...

Martin Paterson had a good performance, he is also a dead ringer for Hugain so perhaps we should sign him  Surprised it was only his second goal for Ireland.

Capello Out... No, I am kidding  Our fate is still in our hands. We just need to win the rest of our games and we'll finish ahead of Portugal. Luxembourg (home and away) should be easy, Israel (home) and Azerbaijan (away) will a bit tougher. Also Portugal still have to play away at Ireland so maybe they'll drop some points.

just shows how many pony foreigners have clogged up the top flight over the years that stops players like Lambert getting a chance.I mean why take a punt on a lower lg goal scorer when you can buy young Africans with a gammy leg

What exactly is Lambert scoring against the international equivalent of Oldham Athletic proving here?
