ROBERT PIRES

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This Is The Daybreak wrote:Wow I miss him, I would argue the football he played in 2001/02 was the best I've seen from an individual player. Absolutely brilliant player who had everything, let go far too soon. Can't believe he left after only being offered a one year contract but a year or two later and we give Silvestre a two/three year contact. Should have played for us many years after 2006.
That absolutely made my blood boil. Wenger treated an Arsenal legend and a true world class player like shit and then basically sucked the cock off a mid-op tranny reject from Manure. Disgraceful. Wenger's decision to take Bobby off and leave Hleb on dribbling in little circles around himself in the CL final 06 was one of his worst ever. :x

Quarter to three? I'd say more like 8 minutes to 2!!!
The fastest bloke over 10 yards who ran with both legs straight!
Thierry, Robert and Dennis all piling forward on the counter attack......a sight to behold :barscarf:

It makes me feel quite old, just remembering about the greatness of those teams we sent out, the style of play and the breathtaking beauty of the flowing passing, and the clinical finishing.

I think that Bobby was one that we actually managed to keep from the clutches of R.Madrid back then. Wasn't it touch and go that he was going to them?

CL final night was an atrocious decision by the Mr Wenger
