Yes, I'm still a wee bit tipsy

Presumably aimed at Augie and I in this particular instance but sorry I can't go with all this Flamini hype on the evidence of what I saw. He could easily have been sent off, I thought most of the time he chased shadows and did little with the ball. He worked hard; surely we knew already he was good for that? He didn't disgrace himself, but please he ran around like Beckham did for PSG in the CL last year for 50 minutes. If that's the basis for replacing someone like Arteta who fulfilled that role brilliantly for a whole season last year, then football has gone even more 'knee jerk' than I thought.mcdowell42 wrote:We should have a thread titled the most miserable fuckers on this forum,im not going to mention names but you know who you are
If you'd watched the game you might have...not aimed at you Augie, but the other bloke. If you thought he did nothing in the game, then you must just prefer when we have a tame midfield where no one is delegating and actually trying to f**king organise. That game was not at the Bernabeu/Nou camp. Everyone's assessment was based on what they saw. I suppose you would have preferred that useless lanky strip of injury ridden piss to slow the game down, give the ball away before being subbed because he'd pulled another ickle, wickle muscleaugie wrote:SteveO 35 wrote:If he'd made that tackle in the Nou Camp or the Bernabeu and you had 8 wankers waving imaginary cards he'd have been off before he'd got started
Hardly noticed him. A whole load more credible performers than him and when Arteta is fit he will be a back-up player

So because I see the game differently to you, means I didn't watch it at all then?topgoon wrote:If you'd watched the game you might have...not aimed at you Augie, but the other bloke. We also need someone who's going to give some shit to the opposition and the ref. Too many nice guys in the Arsenal team.OneBardGooner wrote:TheCook wrote:Never underestimate the importance of having a pointy, shouty bloke in the middle of the park...............

I didn't like the way he left the lub, BUT I also didn't like the way the club kept ignoring his requests for 'sit down talks' about (what would have been) his contract....
He was one of the reasons we did so well in that season Him, Hleb (yesss I knowwww), Rosicky and cesc were Totally Connected....the four muskateers they were called by the other team members.....and that's the last time since the Invincibles that I have seen anything resembling a real team spirit...so I welcome the Flamster back...he takes no prisoners...and we will need his like to do the 'dirty business' in mid-field whilst Oz, Jack & Santi destroy the opposition.
