AGM questions tomorrow ?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Who invites these fucking cretins?

And these are the people that are representing us and are going to ensure that the value's and ambitions of our club are maintained    Thing I cant understand is how some proper fans don't publicly mock the guy at the meeting for asking that question

Indeed, everyone just sits and nods politely at these things before moaning on Twitter. Total waste of time.

IG digging out spurs too which I thought was pretty fucking cringeworthy;

IG: "There is a Bale poster plastered all over Times Square. Unfortunately he doesn't play for #thfc, he now plays for one of our rivals."

Spurs aren't our rivals? We've finished one point above them on the last day of the season for the past 2 years. Real Madrid our are rivals?! Behave. If we were running away with the title and finishing 20pts above spurs again then maybe i'd have more time for comments like that. Get your own shit in order first before digging at THFC. Embarassing.

Kinda ironic that IG had been talking about Suarez having to honour Arsenal's class & standards just 2 mins before this.

Seriously?

No. Fucking. Way. :|

Why the fuck don't they just get done with it and change the club's name to "Arsene FC". Maybe add a scroll to the cartoon crest reading; "Founded 1996" and maybe a new "improved" Latin motto; "Pecuniam sibi esse omnia".

The problem is that Arsene gets off lightly at these events as he knows he's generally the least despised of all of them at the table :banghead:

That is why on the Board thread I suggested that Gazidis meet the fans groups to filter out the trivial, because if you have Kroenke turning up to meetings and getting asked things like that it gets silly.

Have been completely out of things the past week or so and simply don't have the will to read through but I presume we had the usual mix of spoonfed bullshit, brainless questions and Arsene-worshipping? Now that of course everything is rosy in the Wenger garden!

Is Wenger claiming that our austerity is over?

"We have huge ambition to win the league this season. We were restricted financially and had to be strict, but we have come out of that.

"However, we have to defend our style of play and values, that comes from developing our own players, with youth policy and that should be core of our club."

"We will also look to buy proven quality – we did not need to scout to buy Özil, it was just money. I am pleased we have shown you we are not afraid to spend."

They make it up as they go along mate, the lot of em. They just say whatever they think will appease people at any given time.

There's been conflicting reports from Wenger & everyone on the board for the past 6 years - some say we have plenty of money, then 2 days later someone else says we have none. They're all serial liars, the accounts show their is plenty of money available. A good £60m+ still even after Ozil.

Nobody doubts that the new stadium put a squeeze on finances but surely a phased approach would have been better in any event rather than years of tight-fisted policies doing huge damage on the pitch and then all of a sudden spending huge amounts as though a switch has flicked?

Edelman, Fiszman, Hill-Wood, Kroenke and Gazidis have ALWAYS said that we've had money to spend, so in the last 4 or 5 years have Matt Scott, Amy Lawrence, John Cross, Alex Fynn and Phillipe Auclair. The ONLY person who believed that the parsimony of the last 8 years was neccessary was Arsene Wenger.

"Wenger concluded his speech by adding: "We are top [of the table] in a very strong position, but the end of November will give a much clearer indication of where everyone lies. I am confident that at the end of May we will all be happy." :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

Of course if we do remain trophyless for another season but manage top 4 he *wenker) will consider his own happiness with that outcome to be shared by everyone else. :banghead:

The money has been there. It's not a lack of investment that we've really suffered from, rather poor investment choices.

Wenger gave incredibly stupid wages to, and/or extended and improved contracts for, shit like Alumina, Vela, Mong, Legohead, Flappy, Park, Djourou, Bendtner etc etc etc when these players had not earned it and were proven to be poor quality long before we offloaded them.

The money was there, Wenger spent it very poorly. :banghead:
