As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
a great servant, but def the rite time 2 go. for every great save he made (and he made quite a few) he,d always have 1 of his nutty moments. if it werent for him i don believe we,d a got 2 the champs league final, in 06. staill believe he is better than almunia, but his form at the start of the season, and his recent comments, backfired against him. thanks for the memories jens (u fecking nutter).
Did an excellent job for us most of the time but Legend?
I think we are using this term too lightly these days. Lets get some sense of reality back, please
A genuine Arsenal legend. The Unbeaten Season, Man Utd FA Cup Final (a one man show if ever there was one) and Villareal away, to name but a few of his vitally important contributions.
Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm sure you will. but did that mad Kraut not play his part in us missing out on the CL final win
Hardly the stuff of Legends
Anyway, what I want to say is this, Wenger reminds me of a woman at times, when he say's no he often means yes. He can say all day long that he will not enter the transfer market in Jan however this is the time he makes his boldest moves in the market. I think if the old Hun moves on it may just spark some kind of movement......

Okay, he had a couple of exceptional games and contributed to the team. The same could probably be said of Ian selley if you look hard enough.
I'm not saying he wasn't good for us. i'm just saying that 'Legend' should be reserved for the chosen few:-
Brady
Radcliffe
George
Henry
Bergkamp
Jimmy Carter
Etc

I'm assuming you mean Radford. Quoting a list doesn't mean that Lehmann isn't a legend in his own right.
As regards to him costing us the Champions League Final (another post) I prefer to remember Henry's missed chances (particularly the one jsut before the equaliser) that cost us. I rememer Seaman costing us a European Final, but is doesn't mean he isn't a legend.

To be fair to him, hes been a legend. Its a shame he couldnt leave his comments to himself though at times
So yee, lets give a good reception at Burnley!
I was going to say that arse.com has a picture of him because Wenger is stating "I think Jens will be involved".
My new German friend from Saturday was a Dortmund fan and wanted him back.
He needs first team action and well you can't really argue with top of the league can you.
