Worryingly, bar the odd blip eg Hull away, they seem to be pretty consistent & are winning games comfortably both home & away - more so than City & Chelsea who are grinding out a lot of lucky results by 1 goal margins.

I think they have to be right up there unfortunately. It's a shame because I fucking hate them, probably only second to the scum from N17. I'd hate Liverpool to win the league.

EDIT: 1-1. That'll do, keep that scoreline please.

They haven't a snowballs chance in hell of winning the league - they have the most average centre midfield options of all the top teams, they are poor at centre back and as soon as referee's grow some cajones they will have penalties against them every week as skertal continually rapes opposition players when defending set pieces. Take the cannibal out of that team then they are no better than average and that day is coming - he is a brilliant player when everything is going well but as soon as the shit starts hitting the fan (and it will) we will see the return of the nasty petulant prix that we know so well
I hope you're right 8) I used to live with three Liverpool fans, they are the most loathsome *word censored* ever lol

A scouse fan that I play over 35s with, said to me the other day that he is getting more interested in the footie this season but purely because of his kid - lying b*stard cos we all know that if they were struggling again this season, he wouldn't have had time to watch the footie
Not a chance can they win the league. They'll get turned over at Chelsea and will be well out of contention by mid-Feb, once they hit a dip in form the fixtures that they've been cruising start to look tricky again.

Also think it's bollocks that the media are heralding the return of Gerrard as a massive turning point in the next few weeks. Although they lost today they looked really fluid going forward and could have scored a few, and their performance at Spurs without him was the best I've seen them going forward in a long long time. When Gerrard plays he has to be the main man but he's incapable of playing at that sort of pace imo.

They are one Suarez injury from being 5th/6th which with their midfield is about their level.

Really funny getting a text from a dippers supporting friend of mine after Ches howler, his exact words were your calamity keeper strikes again. I kept my powder dry, more because I was more f'ed off that we'd conceded(missed the goal as my stream died). At half time in their game I sent the exact message back to him...yet to get a reply.

Funny that...deluded tw*ts. I'm sure it'll be their year this year

Watching MOTD now and watching them concede from the set piece, it makes you laugh that Skirtel might have done more if he hadn't been too busy trying to swap shirts with Kompany instead of attacking the ball

Nice performance from Mannone for the Mackems today, reminds me of when he played for us at the start of the season a few years back. Lots of top saves to secure us the points then we go to the spammers 2-0 up and cruising and thanks to him palming the ball to a spammers player from a set piece and a gormless penalty given away by d*ckhead Alex Song, we draw 2-2 :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Shearer was saying what a great game Skrtel had. Obviously other than being held at arms' length by Kompany for the first goal and needlessly rushing out of position to compound what was an already dangerous situation for the second.

I sincerely hope the FA throw the book at Brendan Rodgers for his post match comments about the referee...what he is suggesting is beyond the usual incompetence remarks..Managers are emotional or upset after games but his comments seemed calculated. Interestingly in The Mail it is said that the referee lives nearer Liverpool than Manchester. In 2004 at Old Trafford we were done by a referee, nine years later I still hope it was because of fear and weakness that Reilly handed the game and our unbeaten record to United. Maybe I am naive but I hope it wasn't through being bought off or any form of corruption. There are contentious decisions in every game..(our four offsides at the Etihad) but are we going to take a geography lesson every time a decision goes against our team ?

Just saw highlights of Newcastle v Stoke...like most on here have no love for Stoke but they were done more than once yesterday by awful reffing.. Don't know where Martin Atkinson is from but by The Rodgers Theory he must live nearer Newcastle than Stoke..

Still hasn't lost the habit. At least 3 of his saves were pushed back out into a dangerous area and he was fortunate that Everton had no-one in position to slip home the rebound.

No doubt that there are managers out there desperate enough that would take the job, but surely no manager of any substance would touch it ? I know that it is a premier league club but how could a manager work with an owner that interferes and who thinks nothing of publicly treating his manager in that way ? A a manager walking in there would surely see a club that is divided as they come - it started with changing the club colours and has continued to this day and imo that job would be a poisonous chalice

An opportunity to blow millions working for a nutter who will piss off and leave the club virtually bankrupt. 'Arry are you listening?

Tan is a twat but think a lot of Cardiff fans are a bit short-sighted about Mackay this season. In the summer he went out and spend more than £30m without recouping anything. The bloke threw £8m at a Danish striker who is nowhere near for PL football yet. And then comes out publicly and declares they need and are looking to sign 3 players this Jan when clearly the bloke whose money it is knows nothing about this. He's also been making sure the press know about the e-mail that was sent and everything else, he's not naive.

Mackay has done brilliantly before this season and ultimately even with the money spent finishing 17th will be a good return for them. But some Cardiff fans don't seem to realise he's left them one point off the relegation zone with Arsenal, Man City and Man United all away in January. Hardly flying.

i dunno, you could say that about us too - i like sterling and countinho in their line up. i agree with northbank - they are a much better side with Gerrard, and people are overlooking that they only lost 2-1 at the Etihad and we lost 6-3 (6-5 would have the rightful score) so Rodgers has them better organized than our lot.

they may have less talent than us, but they have a better manager than us - they beat united for a start. i think they are our rivals for 3/4th

I saw the highlights on MOTD and they looked like they gave as good as they got up there. I thought they would struggle with Sturridge out but they looked good yesterday. Hope they fade away, but they could well knock points off many off the top teams and finish 4th themselves (happy with that if it prevents the Mancs / Tiny totts)
