Just hope the current curse of the strikers doesn't take out Podolski... :|

That's of course if Arsene decides to play him rather than stick Santi up front in a 4-5-1!!
You joke but I actually browsed Wenger's programme notes on the train on the way back Saturday and he referred to Ozil as an option as a striker. Seemed to be playing that sort of role when he came on Saturday too with Walcott shifting back to RM.

Giroud, Ozil and hopefully Gibbs should be good to go with a 9 day recovery window, but even after that we'll still have 5 or 6 injured for this at least.

Should be three points in the bag. 0-2 to The Arsenal.

Some fairly easy fixtures this month, no reason to see why we can't win every game before we play Liverpool, Utd. and Munich 8) .

I hate these potentially banana skin matches which we are expected to win easily. :banghead:

This.

These are the kinda games that terrify me. Dropped points in these kinda games are where we'll fuck up our chances of the title, not against the likes of City/Chelsea who will both drop stupid points before the end of the season.

Absolutely. Games like these in fact are the only reason we are where we are, and not 5-10 points behind City. Although to be fair they've been the type of games we've won consistently this year. In fact other than the Villa anomaly at the start of the season the only points dropped to teams outside the top 7 have been at West Brom.

Boys, boys.....calm down, and listen to Uncle SteveO. My predicition run shows no sign of ending soon

It won't be the 0-4 whipping some people half expect, as there will be more pressure courtesy of us probably being 3rd when its played and most likely crap conditions

Villa will charge about like headless chickens but they are an away team. Their home record is shite. We are going to grind out an ugly 1-0 and that will be enough to bring forward the 'There's Only One' chant to more like 70 minutes this time.

It will go down by 5 minutes at a time until May when all of us will be walking in together belting it out before a ball has been kicked

You're so optimistic, confident of winning where title favourites City lost. Considering the injuries any win will be good here so I'd take the 1-0 win, if we keep collecting these away points we'll definitely be up there at the end of the season.

My recent record isn't bad... Haven't been to that many but saw wins at Newcastle, Bayern, Marseille & Liverpool in recent years. But back in 1990/91 we lost only one game all season...away to Chelsea - and that was my only match away from Highbury!

On Paper Villa at home was a walkover and look what happened then .
I fully expect them to play us exactly like the first game which means without a decent referee we can expect
Villa to kick lumps out of us ,more injuries, and asending off and a gut wrenching loss which starts the slide.
If we do win it will be UGLY and will propel us on to greater heights like a win at the pool and a home draw V MUFC .
Fucked off its on a Monday too !

Villa have won 2 home games all year. Not saying it'll be a complete walkover but United were playing similarly dreadfully before we played them away and remember how that panned out?
