Previous Southampton v Arsenal matches (Dell / St Mary's)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

David Price was for me an unsung hero , yes we had Brady and Rix for the silky skills bit it was Pricey who did a lot of the spade work .
We outed him way to early and his career just fizzled out but I will never forget him or his efforts .
He like Groves was popular because they left everything they had out on the field every game , he was also a down to earth person that always had time for the fans.
Last time I met him was in the late 80's he picked me up in his Cab and was dead chuffed someone not only remembered him but sang his praises !
Another point someone mentioned was the amount of games played , it was mad at the time and the fixture list could be punishing .
The following season I remember Playing Liverpool in the Fa Cup semi on the Saturday at Hillsborough, N17 Away on the Monday,Juventus home semi final Cup winners on the Wednesday and another league games on the Saturday ,and not a single fucking handbrake in sight !
