Midweek Games 11/12 Feb

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

their GD is also 6 ahead of us now - remember when they couldn't score ? we well fixed that good with the 6-3 and 5-1 defeats didn't we chaps ?

if you notice, Maureens barbs all aimed at city - i think he knows who will be on their coat tails.

how many points clear were we in Early December - 5 wasn't it ????

If this result doesn't galvanise our players for tomorrow then nothing will, looking forward to it a bit more now.

ha ha. laughs and points.

amazing - beat city, can't be west brom.

incredibly if we win tomorrow we go back top.

i agree - if going back to the top can't motivate you, nothing will, especially with "wheel yeez play your own game" wenger in charge.

even a draw keeps us in there - big big slip up from the chavs imho.

This league is crazy, no one wants to win it. Fuck knows what will happen but there are is many a twist and turn to come that's for sure!

Makes the 'if we can keep beating the smaller teams, we can win the league' argument seem a bit more plausible now!

Like I said if theses teams keep dropping points against the lower teams (that we have been beating regularly) then head to head with the big teams don't matter

I don't think we will win it but IF this carries on for the remainder of the season and we did keep our form against the fodder then maybe we could be within a point or two right at the end :rubchin:

I agree that the usual "you can lose the PL against the other big teams" mantra isn't quite working out this season. But wouldn't it be even more sickening to lose this particular PL by a point or two right at the end, knowing that even moderate strengthening of the squad in January probably would have been the major deciding factor in getting us over the finish line, which is quite possible... :|

Oh I agree with the strengthening bit and wenger totally fucked by not doing it but we are where we are and just have to get on with it after all "it doesn't do well to dwell on the past" is how I have decided to look at it.

If our boys can pick up their form and we get these injured players back we might do alright.

my thoughts exactly on hearing the Chelsea result last night
the PL could have been ours for the taking this season
