Tickets for Wembley

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Have to say as well thought that I think there is still a lot of ignorance amongst Season Ticket holders who don't go to away matches. The guys who sit along from us are genuinely amazed that we got tickets to Spurs next week - and despite going to all Arsenal's home games this season they will be very lucky to get a ticket for the semi...and luckier still to get a ticket for the final (if we get there!).

Fact is that any season ticket only needs to maintain around 5 away match credits to guarantee a ticket for games such as this. Even if you never go to away games, it is still a piece of piss to use forums/twitter to keep it ticking over. It means you only need to get tickets for maybe 3 away games a year and you're laughing.

Yet again though, there will be season ticket holders suddenly realising, shock of shocks, that they aren't guaranteed a ticket for Wembley. Get real guys, the rules have been there for years. Use them to your advantage  !!

From memory season ticket holders have first priority. This is where the whole argument usually kicks off. If you are just a travel club member when it comes done to these games you have zero chance of getting a ticket no matter how many credits you have. How many travel club members are there these days without a season ticket?

Agree with post. ST holders around me feel it's their right to be guaranteed a semi final ticket. Zero credits. With the use of social media tickets can be sold easier which makes it very tough for them to start building up. Before most would get a cheap credit and buy a u16 ticket in league cup for a quid.

I can see it being a higher cut-off point than 3+, because that was for a League Cup final and here the FA Cup allocation is lower??

I think the fact that they can be sold easier via social media makes it a bonus for all, as there is a ready market of people who want tickets but have no membership.

And it's actually very easy to build up credits...but not for anyone who leaves it until now to start trying. I've bought kids tickets in the past for Reading (£5?) and Man City (£1?) away in the League Cup - purely for the away match credit - and then given them away via this site (Chris...you know who you are :barscarf: !). And although you need 25+ credits minimum to buy tickets to an away game at the moment, there were many at the start of the season where you needed zero. It will be the same come Aug/Sept so my advice to any Gold members out there is get off your arses and start building those credits! Who knows, maybe some could even...desperate I know...think about going to an away game themselves!!!!!

I think most ST holders will get a ticket for the semi final. If we get to a final those with 3+ credits should be guaranteed a ticket and guess the rest will go in a ballot

I've been to every cup game this season so personally I think tickets should be decided on that basis 8)

If we're considering rule changes, then +2 credit bonus for attending Newcastle or Sunderland away would be good start.
