Re: Blue scum v White scum
We've got a lot of things to put right at Spurs next week and it's a perfect opportunity to do it. Two points in the last 5 visits is abysmal and the only one of those visits where we did ourselves any credit was in 2008/09 when we fought for a point after everyone's favourite clown got himself sent off before half time. We choke there every season and it's about time we put those pricks back in their place.

Tim Sherwood, somewhat of a meltdown interviewed after the match on SS1,
Said some of his players are too friendly with the opposition and that the result would be forgotton by some players the time they were on the motorway, but he wont forget.
Nice to see a bit of honesty by managers for a change but on the flip side maybe he should have kept it to the dressing room...
Keep on giving Tottenham.

Mourinho says he'd rather be in Citeh's position - 9pts behind with 3 games in hand.
I know he's a WUM but surely better to have points on the board regardless of goal difference.

Sherwood is not a great manager but he is a clever bastard. He hard-balled his way into the job in the first place by refusing to accept an interim role and has managed to get himself talked up as a great developer of young players despite Danny Rose and Harry Kane being his greatest achievements.armchair supporter wrote:Tim Sherwood, somewhat of a meltdown interviewed after the match on SS1,

He regularly takes sideways swipes at the club, suggesting their ambitions are unrealistically high and that the players are not good enough to achieve them (through no fault of his). What's more, he's used the stock he held with their fans when he got the job to do so whilst keeping them on side. Spurs fans will have been demanding blood after that hiding and his comments will have gone down a treat - forget honesty, he's just feeding the vapid media clowns views that it's the club and the players who are to blame, and they'll run with it.
I have literally not seen any criticism whatsoever aimed at him by the mainstream media, in fact the only analysis offered is that he supposedly favours an attacking ambitious approach and knows how to get the best out of Adebayor. In reality he is out of his depth and can't even identify what goes wrong (never mind change it). If the club sack him they will get slammed and everyone will subscribe to his views about unrealistic expectations and a weak squad.
Long may he continue leading the blind I say

Believe me he was being honest. Thought he was gonna break down ffs.
Definately wasnt a clever attempt at media manipulation. Just pure emotion after a really shit performnce and a shocking pen and sending off decision although in fairness he didnt make too much of it.
I'm trying real hard but I'm finding it difficult to hate Tim.

Hate him? Fucking love the bloke, he'll make sure they stayed married to mediocrity whilst staying in the job for far longer than he should.armchair supporter wrote:Believe me he was being honest. Thought he was gonna break down ffs.

And it was fucking clever of him. He has been in charge for months now, he has no right to complain about the players' attitude and the group mentality, he has had plenty of time to make changes. And complaining about expectations? He's basically had a swipe at the board, the players and the fans and come up smelling of roses.
All he does is criticise the quality of their players and tell everybody that they are not good enough to finish 4th. Here is a quote from him yesterday: ""I just think the perception is you cannot be a rookie manager and come in and be that good." Literally complaining about not getting enough credit for a revival that hasn't happened - they're exactly the same as they were under AVB.

Today's loss means that if united win their game in hand they are 2 pts behind the spuds.

It's a shame they both couldn't lose but one can't win them all. On a different note; the standard of refereeing in this country is an absolute disgrace. Moss, Webb, Dowd, Dean etc - all absolutely gash.

Really ? I think they do a great job of ensuring the right teams are in a tight title race to sell tv rights and shirts.officepest wrote:It's a shame they both couldn't lose but one can't win them all. You only have to look at the United ref choices stat to know that it's manipulated - when United lost they wouldn't see that ref for 15 months on average, everyone else was 2-3 months.
It's the NFL NBA model - look at easy pens Chelsea are getting this year and the few sending offs. Today included.
It's about money now. They would never allow a 19 point lead - no one in Asia would watch it.

Timmy Sherwood: "On the plus side, WE'RE THE FAMOUS ARSENAL AND WE'RE GOING TO WEM-BER-LEY, WEM-BER-LEY! WEM-BER-LEY!".

Re: Blue scum v White scum
I saw the interview and he seemed to refer to his players being too nice with each other, not with the opposition. He said that he wanted them to take each other to task rather than him being the only one to have a go at them.armchair supporter wrote:Tim Sherwood, somewhat of a meltdown interviewed after the match on SS1,

Quite what he expects from players who a year ago had never met each other and probably never heard of the club, who signed for AvB and now have Sherwood. Inconsistent and Deluded is written into the DNA of Scum.
