Manchester City are to be renamed Oscar Pistorius FC after they lost both legs but still managed 4 shots on target.

It seems the whole case hinges around whether he screams like a girl...
I don't think he's never said he didn't do it, just seems that he's aiming to get a reduced sentence rather than a not guilty verdict. The defence will probably make the most of his disability, which leads to his insecurities, and his amazing athletics achievements to get a result.

The fact that they put forward the mere fact that he goes to gun ranges as suggestive of guilt possibly shows how weak their case is

Not saying it wasn't premeditated, it seems the more believable of the two scenarios but they're making a real pigs ear of proving it beyond reasonable doubt.

As with most high-profile criminal trials the media interest and coverage was reducing significantly with each day and especially once the defence case started (even before the adjournment). Imo the defence team are going to take apart the prosecution evidence that is at best suggestive and in any case all seems like it can be reasonably challenged. I've read basically every live tweet from the BBC correspondent at the trial (I work exceptionally hard clearly) and the headlines and articles on BBC etc just don't tally with how the trial is playing out.

Same thing happened with Redknapp and likewise with Bill Roache, both cases were incredibly weak and only reached the trial stage because of the massive amount of money already pumped into both and the high-profile defendants. The media reported as if it the prosecution evidence was hugely damning, sketchily glossed over the defence cases which were given far less time and importance by them and then after the verdict announced that the right (or even obvious) result was reached based on the evidence.

If I felt tired halfway through a burglary, then I would consider taking a nap.

He has broken down again and got it adjourned for the day.. Someone needs to say this is a murder trial and it has to go on regardless of the sensitivity of the accused.
