Who do people support where you live?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wexford =

1. Manure/Victims
2. The Arsenal
3. Mixture Chavs, Spunks, Leeds

I'm from Boston and over here, it's:

1. Victims (just)
2. Arsenal
3. Man U (largely clueless Americans who know fuck all about their club or the history of the game)
4. Barcelona
5. Celtic

Luckily, there are no real organized United or Chelsea supporters groups to speak of. The victims one is probably slightly larger than ours, but not by much. The scum have one, but it's an absolute joke, just like their club.

Man Ure/ Victims /Celtic...apparently you are allowed support Celtic + one of the other two.. If you support one of the other two you must refer to the one you don't support as the filth. If your team((s) are not doing well you can support rugby teams or Dublin Gaelic footballers ..simple isn't it.?

London Borough of Harrow

Growing up in the 70's and 80's the majority were traditionally split between Arsenal and Spurs, with a sprinkling of Q.P.R and Watford.
Non-league sides Barnet and Wealdstone also had a small local support.
There were a few Liverpool fans too.

Man Utd gained fans in the 90's, and lately Chelsea fans have come out of the woodwork.
Never saw any Chelsea fans round here in the 80's.
Hmmm.

In Newcastle (Australia) it's Liverpool - Man U and a sprinkling of Arsenal fans. Although if you go to an A-League match here (Newcastle Jets - Franny Jeffers had a season here a few years back) the ONLY non-A League kit you will see is Arsenal which leads me to think that in terms of genuine football fans Arsenal garners the most local support but still well behind Liverpool overall.

Yep. About right. TBH we have a reasonably good following in Dublin.

But by far the most "supported" teams are the Manc Filth then the Victims. By "supported" I do mean not attending games but wearing jerseys and mouthing off if they win. :x In the 80's it was the Victims by a long shot.

And as BWK says, we are plagued with arseholes in Celtic jerseys. Uber-arseholes at that. :x

Here in SW France it's Toulouse, even though I'm an hour away from the city, also a few Bordeaux (2 hrs away). By far the most 'foreign' club shirts are Arsenal, I've seen quite a few young lads wearing them locally and even up in the Toulouse area. Don't see any Spuds, Chavs or Bindippers. :barscarf:

In Nottingham its obviously Forest although most don't go. Converesly most of the Notts County supporters I know do go to games. Also some Derby and Mansfield fans but no Leicester.

As for the rest its United then Liverpool (suddenly going through a revival!!) with us in third.

Liverpool and a handful of filth
Same here, I'm Sutton/Croydon way and it's mostly Chelsea with the splattering you mentioned. I know a fair few Palace and Charlton fans though to be fair.

Well I'm in Hampshire so

Southampton

Have no clue after that

My mates are a mixture of Southampton, Leeds, Liverpool, Manu, Portsmouth, totnumb.

If I gauged it by the lads I play footie with then it would be saints, totnumb, chelsea, I'm the only gooner.

If I gauge it by who I play cricket with then it would be totnumb (5  ) saints, Arsenal (2 of us :D ).

If I gauge it by my local pub then it is liverpool, manu, chelsea, saints, then me

If I gauge by my family then it's Arsenal (my Dad god bless him was a gooner), my son is a gooner, two of my four brothers are gooners and their sons are too, of my 8 sisters 3 are gooners, 1 is liverpool, 1 is a season ticket holder at manu and her son is too, the others don't like the game, 2 of my brothers are pompey supporters.

I have 23 nephew and nieces and I have lost count of great nephews and nieces but Arsenal are by far the most supported.

That about raps up the scores from Hampshire :barscarf:
