Hypothetically...Ballotelli for Campbell in a straight swap

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That's not a pop at Wenger, obviously most managers feel the same otherwise Balotelli would have the pick of just about any club in Europe. Because he is undoubtedly extremely talented and surprisingly only 23, but not only does his behaviour really pose a problem off the pitch, it impacts on his performances on it as every mercurial performance is matched by two or three where he cuts a frustrated, forlorn figure.

Him coming to Arsenal is an interesting thought. On balance I'd say he's a dickhead and we are best off steering clear. I guess what his last two ventures has proved is that he will put in some big match-winning performances and despite all the aggro off the pitch still recoup a large transfer fee when it goes pear-shaped.

Taking the attitude problem out of it I would happily pie off Campbell for a player of Balotelli's calibre.
Wenger doesn't like confrontation and wants harmony in the team. So the chances of Ballotelli coming are at steveo levels.

Far be it from me to stand in his defence but there are confrontational players and there are lunatics. Although the Suarez pursuit was an embarrassment he is hardly the easiest player to manage.

I would say he's one of the easiest to manage, day to day. He just does the odd crazy thing, :D

To be fair we don't know how many racist/biting incidents at their training ground were swept under the carpet.

Big difference between Suarez and Balotelli. One is a world class player who works his bollocks off every game with the occassional moment of madness while the other is a lazy attention loving immature wanker who won't fulfil his potential.

I want to see what Campbell can do in England before deciding any swap move, not that my decision matters!

So no, no deal.

Tbf giroud often looks as lazy as fcuk - I'm not sure what le cock demands from the player playing the number 9 role so maybe he wouldnt be asking ballotelli to run around like a demented fool ?

Only thing I'd say is that in fairness to Giroud, he might look lazy but that's more down to his extreme lack of pace. He challenges for every single shit aerial ball we fire up at him. I can't see Balotelli bothering his arse doing the same. If we changed our style and system to accomodate Balotelli he might be useful, but then can anyone see Arsene doing that? More likely he'd play Balotelli out wide as an ineffective and pissed off winger. :|

No way should this ever be allowed to happen. They bough a highly talented fruit cake,we are not helping them get rid for a very good level headed young player.
