Sky TV and free Sat 16th

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I have Sky during the cricket season (fucking scandalous that the ECB mercenaries have sold the whole English game to them but that's a whole other debate) then cancel it for the winter. The only football I give a fuck about watching is the Arsenal, which I either watch live or down the pub

I cancelled my sky sports and bt sports subscription a few weeks back as I am pissed off with how much money I am paying to listen to such mugs like Warnock and Owen. Since then I reckon Sky have contacted me about 3 times and bt once offering half price deals for 3/6 months if I sign back up. Prior to this I don't think I ever went a season without getting some kind of deal off sky.

I'll just steam BT sport if I can find a reliable source.

I recently discovered a world of free sky channels called c sharing.
I purchased a recordings duo satellite box off a dodgy bloke for 180 quid.
I have the standard Freesat hd set up and then all of the Sky channels plus all of the Setanta at Irish channels also meaning 3 pm kick offs.
Unfortunately after watching the arsenal vs red bulls game last week I have lost the non Free to air channels. Currently watching bt sport through my laptop as I used them for me internet.
I hope to sort it out again but still getting to grips with it all.

My missus' uncle does something similar - has some black box and has all the Sky Sports channels etc on it.

Robbie Savage now has his own show on BT Sport on Saturday mornings at 10am.  :x If that doesn't put them out of business, nothing will.

Owen
Warnock
Savage

Who's next?

John Leslie?

sounds like a bit of a rip off

I get BT sport free on my BT broadband package but to be honest I hardly ever watch it because there is nothing worth watching!!

the only PL live games that I want to watch live are Arsenal games and i either watch live or watch in the pub.
for the few other games then a stream will suffice.

I have not yet been inclined to buy SKY but I would be more likely to get it for the cricket, golf and darts - as it is the radio and good quality streams have persuaded me that it is not worth buying.

Acestream, Delvey Sports and BloodZeed is the way forward.

Fuck giving either a penny of my money, especially BT after those shitehawk adverts earlier this summer.

Fuck against my better judgement and wishes we now have sky sports again. Wife accused me of depriving her of tv if I didn't renew. Got half price fibre optic for 12 months and half price sports for 3 months to be renewed again in november. Think its shit to be honest. But I can't deal with toddler twins and a sulking idiot wife. :banghead:

On the flip side you get to watch loads of sport at home and pretend you are giving in to the wife. Huge win there if you play your cards right.

In theory yes, but the thought of her getting her own way is annoying.
