I concur 8)

Giroud with 2 and an arteta pen for us. The media will start to formulate another bullshit campaign highlighting the fact that sanchez hasn't scored yet  The campaign will start with a whisper 5 minutes into the game and by the 95th minute the media will be labelling him as a waste of money

If we do mess it up and Fabregas scores for the Chavs, they will be creaming their pants.

if Koscielny is out injured then we start the season with NO recognised CBs.

that is appalling management and yet there are some deluded halfwits that think we can win the league :banghead:

We have spent money. Wenger made that one 20 minute change to 4-4-2 in that one game last season so he now "does tactics". The Treble is all but won!!

Just imagine it's the same result as we did against villa in the opening game last season

Wont happen but even if it did happen it would provoke a different reaction than last season - if it happens on Saturday the apologists will be out in force citing the fact that our germans are not back in action yet and that kos is not fully fit and of course they will point to that fact that le cock has spend serious money this summer  They will "forget" the fact that the glaring need for a quality DM has existed for years, they will ignore the fact that he has known all summer that tv5 was off and still hasn't signed a replacement and they will ignore the fact that his net spend is actually that impressive. Someone mentioned some time ago that the signings we have made were all set up when he was in brazil, but now that he is back we seem to be back to our normal dithering state - maybe this is just a coincidence but I cant shake that thought from my mind

Anyway after saying all that I still believe that we will win on saturday 8)

comfortable win for us. I'm hoping that it is a big enough scoreline to consign Pulis to the bottom of the table after week one :barscarf: :barscarf:

Apart from Liverpool games last season Palace were hard to break down against the top 7.

Imagine we'll start positively and if we get an early goal will probably be a comfortable afternoon, but if we don't score in the first 15 minutes I think we'll struggle.

I think that generally tends to be true with us in most games. I think our players put pressure on themselves if they don't score early and end up making a simple task much harder.

But I think the atmosphere at the emirates is genuinely going to be better and that will help the team. For years the crowd has been quick to turn and you could see the players fearful of making mistakes.

We've all got reservations still of the manager but, we've won two trophies since our last home game, so the mood will probably be quite good.

:rubchin: :rubchin: Come off it Mods the seasons opener was last week

Assumes Kos was injured as would have been odd to bring Monreal on as cb at half time last week.

Imagine Chambers and Monreal in the middle, but a rumour I heard is that BFG is fit for Sat.

Anyway, whats the pessimism about- We are top of the league say we are top of the league :barscarf:

I will not ignore and forget the fact that nowadays wenger is only interested in fighting for fourth position and getting a champions league place
