Well if you're happy being ruled by faceless, unelected and enormously wasteful bureaucrats in Brussels then there's two or three parties to vote for. If you want out of that particular circus then there's one party to vote for but Farage has only one agenda and seemingly no policies and no chance of governing, although I'm not one of those who confuses UKIP with the BNP. We might get a referendum if Cameron is returned but he squirmed out of it last time so I've no confidence he'll deliver this time, especially if he teams up with Clegg again.

Don't get me wrong I'm no pro-EU martyr but I think the practical influence that they actually wield over the way that this country is ruled is often grossly exaggerated. I've heard statistics about how many laws are passed on Brussels but in reality the vast majority of these are pointless and ineffective and there are exponentially more unpopular and wide-ranging laws passed by our domestic parliament. What doesn't help is that 95% of people seem to not know the difference between the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights, with the latter handing down the vast majority of the decisions that whip people into a frenzy.

As for being unelected, there are some legitimacy questions agreed. Although I don't remember people voting labour in 2005 on the premise that Gordon Brown would be running the country, or the somewhat farcity of the nature of the coalition government.

In fact I despise much of the EU and what it stands for, greedy little bastards and socialist bollocks, along with Germany exerting far too much influence. But if we are talking in/out - and let's be honest we are because these wide-sweeping fundamental reforms that our politicians suggest they can trigger are like asking turkeys to vote for Christmas - I begrudgingly believe that there is an economic and to a lesser extent a consequent political case to remaining in there.

When i lived in the UK i always voted Labour, since i came home i have always voted Labour.

I would still go for Labour in the UK but f**k them in Ireland (shower of wan*ers)

im one of 'Thatchers children' so a true blue through and through.ive been brought up to believe hard graft will bring you success and conservative let you reep the benefits.interestingly my mums parents were working class but always voted Tory as they said the econonmy was always stronger under a Tory rule,i haven't seen anything in my 41 years to dispute that.Wenker out too

Haha not quite SteveO, despite being a proud Welshman I'm not as moronic as the Scots who thought that they' would be better off alone. I have gripes about the way that funding is distributed as much as the next person but I know which side my bread is buttered. Plus I also consider myself British.

Also the fourth rate politicians in the Welsh Assembly have scarred me for life, utterly appalling.

this year is the most tempted I've ever felt to vote tory, but I just don't think I could do it tbh

There is no party that 100% appeals to me i want a better NHS and feel social justice is important but i feel Labours immigration policies have always been too lenient.

To be fair i think the conservatives have turned the economy around but the cuts have been too drastic and the thought of public school boy millionaires telling me 'we're all in it together' after these cuts to services and wages and pensions etc etc etc being worse makes me fucking sick. I think you sum up how many feel. I left the Lib Dems a couple of years ago following Clegg's betrayal. I got my 15 minutes of fame. Even made the national news. I am now a member of the Green party. They are closest to where Charles Kennedy Liberals used to be.

Nationalise railway.
Invest in rail and cycling not roads.
Stop privatisation of the NHS
Minimum wage up to £10 by 2020
Repeal the bedroom tax
Stop victimising the disabled etc..

I moved it as it is not about Arsenal. I put it on the Terraces to start with so it would get some posts and enough people would know it was there.

My girlfriends family live in Scotland so regrettably I wouldn't have been able to take as much joy in a Yes vote.

Anyway the Celts have had centuries of infighting. Looking forward to sitting back and watching the Ingerlish do the same about regional assrmblies, Northern powerhouses (lol) and of course the evergreen London bankers rhetoric.
