Re: The Price Of Football and Being a Fan
The bit where the jumped up dickheads in their 30s and 40s hang around in bushes and decide to film a normal bloke because he won't let them try and harangue/intimidate players into stopping on a 10mph road. It's such obviously weird behaviour. Some of your other posts have suggested that players would otherwise be stopping of their own free will - that's rubbish.armchair wrote:But what behaviour is wierd?northbank123 wrote:I know most people think that, given their earnings, footballers should be obliged to do more for the fans. But I think grown adults being willing to go to these lengths makes a pretty good case for keeping them hidden away.
I'm quite comfortable saying that some of this behaviour is weird.
g88ner described stalking behaviour. Thats wierd, also illegal. But also not what was in the video clip I posted.
Clash suggested adult football fans wanting autographs is wierd. I can think of things that footie fans do that are more wierd than autograph hunting.
I would certainly be grateful if my employer intervened to stop me getting harassed to and from work every day.
And as has been mentioned above you let this go on and you'll soon have hundreds flocking there which is unacceptable for so many reasons.

Look if you're going to get precious about people criticising the YouTube videos you film and upload then don't post them here.
Although I'm not sure you're enough of a Superfan to hang around with that lot.

Shame, northbank makes a valid point after that.armchair wrote:Jumped up dickheads? Ok then.northbank123 wrote:

I just dont understand why you cant just have an opinion on the video without calling them wierdos, dickheads or whatever. Really unneccessary imo.
You dont know the age of anyone there or how many was there. There are mobiles everywhere nowadays with cameras. Everything gets uploaded to youtube these days. I dont find it wierd at all that this found its way online

You're good. But you got one bit wrong. How dare you accuse me of not being a "superfan?"

1. They've gone out of there way to stand in a country road on a cold day in the hope of guilt tripping footballers to stop as they crawl past at the 10mph speed limit.
2. They're moaning about the injustice of players being told not to stop
3. They're videoing their conversation with the steward who is just doing his job
4. They're uploading it to show the world how hard one by they are
5. They're acting weird
