As much as we may hate the Champions League and its format the thoughts of playing in the Thursday League and its endless mind numbing group games is even more nauseating..One of Man Utd's saving graces from their horrible Moyes season was not qualifying for this mickey mouse tournament. So if not fourth then seventh, but I do want us to retain the FA Cup and a Europa League place goes with that.. :banghead:

the only thing I absolutely hate about the europa league is the Thursday night matches.
why oh why cant it be played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays like it used to be.

if it was then we would be much better suited to that competition - every so often we might actually have a chance of winning it.
we always have zero chance in the big one

Its funny how so many of us ridicule the fact that Wenger is still in a job, yet will be desperate for us to win at the weekend, so we can keep the march towards 4th, and guarantee Wenger another year in the job :rubchin: As far as im concerned, United in the cup is the one saving grace from what has been a terrible season, and all games leading up to that game are of little importance.

:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I am just so feckin' depressed with it all - Seriously this is doing my box in.

Everton are having one awful season - so with us being a leetil bit jaded - they will seize the opportunity to get a valuable 3 points in an away win.....remember we are the team to play if the opposition needs a helping hand to get their season 'back on track' - Just like we helped manure by gifting them a 0 - 2 win at the bowl...they were utter shyte and yet we allowed them to turn up play shyte and still win.

Martinez may have his weaknesses/blind spots - But he Does know tactics and how to exploit the weak parts of a team...

I just want the season to end now - and the next 2 whizzz by in the usual groundhog fashion...out of the League Cup first, then a losing streak so we are out of contention for the prem....then out of the last 16 in the CL - and then knocke dout of the FA cup because the players were leetil bit jaded and leggy - after 2 very exhausting CL games - where we didn't turn up (again).

Bould needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and not his bank account - If he is a Gooner and DOES care - then he must be honest and walk NOW....we all know wenger couold look in the mirror of truth all day and see a rosey garden...

kroenke jusat sits back and counts the profit - so he can buy even more second hand flea infested - ill fitting wigs.

We are lost in a sea of shyte...and our club are drowning year by year.

Thanks Wenger...you could have walked away a Hero and be Loved forever - But No! yuo believed your own hype and day by day and season by season you are becoming more and more despised.

united in the cup could be the real watershed. 9,000 vocal gooners, evening kick-off, plenty of beer etc. if we lose against that rabble, then that must just be the last straw.

the league means nothing now, wouldn't be arsed if we lost.

They've warmed up with a routine dispatch of Young Boys ( ) 3-1 (7-2) so wil be confident.

The Thursday curse will save Wenger's bacon though.

I'm not really arsed with finishing in the top 4 so much as finishing above United, Spurs and Liverpool because fuck 'em.

i was looking yesterday - it seems there are for all our home games . which will be interesting when the chav tickets go on sale - who really amongst us wants to pay Cat A prices to watch the chavs get crowned champions or possibly even win it on our manor ? and us possibly stuffed to boot ?

I have 2 season tickets....on Sunday my little girl has a game at 10.30 in Hatfield Peverel. Finishes in time for me to get there but, shame on me, I can't be arsed. That's how the club I've supported all my life make me feel right now :(

Maybe the Chelsea game is the time for a boycott? Surely no silver members are forking out for that game at £62.

i don't think a boycott will be needed - the lack of demand will take care of that.

i can only imagine a more than half empty stadium at the end as we do our lap of 'honour' while the chavs parade their trophy in front of the clockend.

though in reality, the blue quarter of london will likely fill any gaps the tourists/JCL's leave

The thought of playing in that 2nd rate shite Thursday night crap of a competition used to feel me with dread, not anymore. I WONT GO...... Fuck em , lots on here say that a boycott is the only way of getting wiggy and his cronies stirred, well that will be the opportunity. Picture the scene with tumbleweed blowing around the bowl while our boys set about the other european losers.

Surely a draw this one? One of the few class clubs remaining IMHO

One of the few traditional owners of a club left, what a coincidence 8)
