Weekend Matches - 15/16 August

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

On another matter, last night Barcelona lost 4-0 to Bilbao and Hamburg lost 5-0 to Bayern. Pretty severe in both cases. Now take a look at the centre backs for Barcelona and Hamburg. :barscarf:

Toilet ended 2-2.
So much for Harry Kane. He missed a great chance at 2-0

Mackems already look like they're going to struggle.

The over-the-hill John O'Bese and Wes Brown are not the answer.

Been a long time since I've seen a team defend as badly as Sunderland for Norwich's three goals today.

Just complete and utter disinterest by the looks of it. So unbelievably amateurish, couldn't believe what I was watching - not stopping short corners, not picking up a man off a throw in, defenders standing like statues - basics at U11s level never mind PL.

As an Irishman I have never rated john o'shea but the worrying thing for the mackem fans is that these horrific defensive performances are without him actually playing

Said it on last weekends match thread, but Cattermole is an absolutely brainless, dirty fcuker and if he aint kicking opposition players then he aint doing anything  Useless b*stard was highlighted on motd twice tonight for ball-watching on one-two's and for an experienced player that is unforgiveable

It can’t be that long, surely?

You are, after all, a Gooner.

I'm used to it mate, we're a special kind of shite, I know it but I love the useless buggers anyway. I'm now out with my missus in a shite Sunderland nightclub listening to sex on the beach, then I'll go and have sex, it's all good lol

Went to geordieland on a stag weekend a few years ago and met up with a few sunderland lasses - they certainly gave me the impression that they would be very facilitating

IIRC he was shamefully dealt with by The Chavs. Great scoop by Leicester.
