As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We're going through all this shit at the moment with Sky.
I rang them and asked if they could ring me back as I was unhappy at paying the cost of their expensive calls. The guy took my number and promised to ring back. I asked him if he'd do it now and he said yes.
I'm still waiting for the call.
Yesterday I received a text message from Sky asking how I'd found their service and would I recommend them as a provider.
Yeah right!
We have BT broadband and receive the sports package free.
I'm tired of paying Sky a lot of money each month purely to see the football.
Quote from the BT 'changing some of our prices' (changing = increasing) letter I received yesterday:
'So, if you want to change something, or even leave because of these price changes, and you're within your minimum contract period, you'll need to call us within 30 days of receiving this letter to avoid paying a charge for leaving early. You'll need to give us 30 days' notice to leave (or 14 days if you're switching provider), starting from the date you ask us. We won't charge you the increased price during that time.'
It may not be necessary for you to let the contract run its full term before cancelling, if you feel that strongly about leaving BT.

Check out a site called say no to 0871 numbers. They will give you a standard non premium tariff number.
I disagree about BT, try ringing their CS expect to wait well over 15/20 minutes and speak to someone in India. Sky TV is on a different planet to both BT and Virgin Media. Much more choice and channels. Price wise Sky is better value for money, but you have to be prepared to haggle once a year to get the best discounts.
BT sport coverage of football is also light years behind Sky's. Whose idea was it to employ the likes of Savage and Owen.

Unfortunately UPC is not available where I live. Probably the only part of Dublin that can't get it!
In fairness though I have the entire sky+ HD package (sports/entertainment/movies/music/kids/on demand/news/documentaries), multiroom, sky+Anytime on all our devices, unlimited fast broadband, unlimited landline calls.
You also have to factor in Dublin prices - it costs more to live in civilisation, REB!

I have the full sky package its £75.75 a month. I tried too call them funnily enough this morning before seeing this post, they have technical problems. Going too have a moan and see if i can get the price reduced. I want BT sport, but like someone has said they are robbing feckers. HD is £23 a month plus the initial £20/30 fee. Really fecked off that i ended up with sky sports 5 which is basically redundant.

Not for the reasons you think, Captain Retardo. Some local busy body objected to the cable works that would have been needed.

Either that or every time they tried to lay the cables they were dug up and stolen the the following night.
