Other Games, Weekend 17th-18th Oct

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Fortuna Koln won 2-0 away to Rot Weiss Erfurt, to lift themselves of the bottom of the table.

And Leeds lost again. :D :barscarf:

Nice that Everton have a home game to give him the send off he deserves. Hope they rip United apart 8)

Another team that suffered from the European cup ban the victims inflicted on the league

They had a really good team back then and you couldn't really identify a weak link in the team (unless you counted that mad van den hauwe ba.stard  )
Exactly right, honestly Toffees have (almost) always had a certain class about them, and Kendall added to that in spades. RIP.

I had great respect for Howard Kendall and that Everton side, mainly because they were the first side to challenge and beat Liverpool. They had such a team ethic and played as a balanced solid unit. Denied what would have been a decent chance in The European Cup by their neighbours beheaviour in Heysel. (or Chelsea fans beheaviour in Heysel if you believe the stories from Anfield)

More than that, they were a great side to watch.

Great manager.
