Benedict Cumberbatch at WC '86

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Me neither but my husband says there was !

Is that Italia 80 euros Mexico 86 or Italia 90 im not sure ??
Someone really ought to have said where it was in the thread title

Just because someone said it was wc 86 doesnt mean it is Rodders Old Boy .
That one looks much more like italia 80 however the stadium does look like the azteca in mexico so I cant be sure.
I was only there once in '86 and that was for the Argy game and it was so hot I was ill !

It looks like a Mexican flag in the background. They didn't make the WC90 and they obviously wouldn't be in the Euros - so WC86 it must be.
There is also a Spanish flag and a couple of Argentina flags in the upper tier, although the stadium does look like the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City, also the crowd appear more South American, than European, more likely to be WC '86 than a European competition as the clock says 12.51 and the European based competitions don't kick off at that time in the afternoon.

Definitely WC86, remember watching build up and sporadic
Punch ups occurred between English and Argies all over the lower tiers. There must be a video on YouTube showing 2 English blokes starting on some Argie who must have been a middleweight pro boxer cos he absolutely leathers both of them. Probably one of the street sweepers Nigel Benn said he had to fight!
