Other teams & games

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Excellently taken goal by Firmino.

Surely the commentary/punditry team of Owen, Savage, McManaman and Hoddle has to be the worst of all time?

Cancelled BT sport last year because they took bias to a new low with their Liverpool wankathons. But I thought I read somewhere that Little Squeaky Michael Owen had been sacked by them because of complaints...

More infighting at the London Stadium, or Olympic Park or whatever... Seems the move has been a disaster so far, fights at the three home games, inadequate and poorly trained stewards and ticketing problems like duplication etc....
Just as well they didn't have to pay for it...

Always amazed no defender just levels costa from the off, hit him so hard he never thinks to try it on again!

Because defending of that type just isn't deemed 'on' these days. Roll back to the Adams and Bould days and they would have fucking snapped him in half. Nowadays every manager wants a ball player there like Bambi on ice Stones

So for the third game this season Costa should have been sent off - shocking dive whilst on a yellow which wasn't given as a free kick but went unpunished. The guy is a loose cannon.

Obvious foul on Cahill but difficult to have much sympathy because there was no need for him to dally on the ball like that.

Good game to watch but Chelsea should have been out of sight. I'm not convinced by Conte at Chelsea.

augie wrote:Have to say that blaming bravo for the manure goal is slightly lazy and some of it is based on xenophobia cos he has run joe hart out of town - watch the goal again and you will see that bravo had the ball cleanly until stones jumped into him when he had no business jumping at all. I'm saying that while acknowledging that I am still a stones fan, and maybe you can argue that bravo should have held the ball despite the contact, but if it was ibrahimovich that jumped into bravo everyone would have been calling for a foul on the keeper

I also think that another example of lazy punditry was awarding motm to de bryne cos he scored - no doubt that he was top quality in the first half, but in the second half he was largely anonymous, plus I would absolutely question his fitness levels
For me ottemendi (sp ? ) was out-fucking-standing today and I say that with total shock  Kudo's should also go to fernadino and kolorov ( ) who were also outstanding

Pogb showed again, what anyone with even half a brain could see, that behind the hype is a very average player  Zlatan again looked like the pace of the game will leave him on the fringes of the game
I'd accept that Stones was more at fault for the goal as the keeper gave him a shout and he still jumped into him, but it was the rest of Bravo's game that reminded me of Almunia; the dallying on the ball, the constant flapping at crosses, the poor positioning.

The cúnt gets away with murder.

As does Wiggy Rooney. He could, and should, have had two yellows. The petulant stamp, the tagging, and the constant abuse he hurled at the ref... any other player would have gotten two yellows. :x

Also, how the fuck does Fellaini stay on the pitch? ALWAYS leads with his elbows, constantly trips, and puts dirty little tags on the oppo player's Achilles... an absolute cynical filthy cúnt...

Anybody see Joe Hart give away a shocking goal on his debut flapping a cross straight to a striker to tap into an empty net?

The questions marks over letting him go barely lasted 24 hours...

Pogba is the ultimate luxury player. The pace of it passed him by. He is deffo not a worker either, strolling around in the middle. Ibrahimovitch has brilliant technique but he misses too many chances and like Pogba is a luxury player. Apart from his excellent goal he did nothing for the whole game.

Of course both Pogba and Big Nose will score against us though...
Didn't know Flash is playing for Manure
