Basel (A) | CL | Tue 6 Dec 19:45

Do you think Basel will have a minute silence for Manuel since he died in the week? :rubchin:

Jesus mate that's a bit strong!

I believe the Mousers held a minute's silence and a candle-lit all night vigil for Trevor Jordache when he died in Brookside. :rubchin:

Yes, I had to google that one!

This competition really needs to be cut to 16 teams, far too many teams in it, simply to make up the numbers(including ourselves). It's crazy to think we haven't won a league title in 12 years, yet apparently deserve a place in Europe's 'elite' competition. At least if the competition had less teams in it, it might lead to a prestigious secondary competition, instead of the Europa league nonsense.

looks like Wenger taking full squad to Basle.....and will Ramsey be back :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

It seems the only change from the squad that faced West Ham at the weekend is Olivier Giroud returning, while Francis Coquelin is suspended meaning Aaron Ramsey or Mohamed Elneny will come into midfield alongside Granit Xhaka.

The last remaining part of my brain considering tuning in to this snoozefest has just been wiped seeing that Twirly might be holding the midfield.....either that or the Egyptian Song (and I don't mean that one by the Bangles either)

If he picks the full team for this borefest, Ozil and Sanchez included, after the disgrace last Wednesday, I'll be fucking livid.

Alexis has travelled ,and here's a quote from our genius.
"When a guy is in a good success & good confidence,it's more dangerous to stop him than keep going"

So more than likely he will start him. :banghead: :cussing:

Bit it's ok to "rest" him for a cup quarter final :banghead:

I am going to steer well clear of watching this game tonight (dont think it will be good for my blood pressure!)
I endured a freezing cold night at the Emirates last week, watching a substandard bunch of misfits and a welsh fairy running around trying to reach a cup SEMI FINAL.
Meanwhile tonight Wenger looks like he will be playing a much stronger team just because he has 1% chance of winning this CL group :banghead:

it is effectively the most meaningless CL game we have ever played, we play THREE PL games in the next 10 days. I mean what the fuck is he on!! :cussing:

Sorry to be posting something positive, but we can play a third-string team tonight and still avoid Bayern Munich and probably Real Madrid in the R16. The way the results have gone, the only real advantage of finishing first is having the second leg at home, as the second place teams are likely to be pretty decent, just hope we avoid Barcelona or Juventus.

My team tonight, a 4-3-3 formation:

Matey

Sumbloke Playerski Foreignzi Younglad

Over-ratezi Sidewayski Crapperson

Barndoorla Redcardson Wingerwidez

Subs: Sanchez, Ozil, Ox, in case Ludicrous get a goal in Paris.

It is not uncommon to go through the trauma of divorce and remain unaffected by the process
