Suggested team:-

----------------------------Martinez

Lichtsteiner----Mustafi-----Mavropanos-----Tin of Spam

---------------Elneny------Xhaka----------------

---Iwobi-------Plastic bag---------Stuffed bear

-----------------Welbeck-----------------

This should be enough to at least get a point.
what if the stuffed bear outshines welbeck?? and how is anybody gonna tell the difference between xhaka and a plastic bag? the plastic bag is way more useful tbh
I'm not sure how long we can carry on with plastic bag holding the midfield

The Qurabawbag winger will have that tin of spam in his pocket all match. Can't wait for Arsenal fans to sing the monty python spam, spam, spam song.

Lacazette has travelled, just saw it on his Insta. Surprised about that I have to say. Torreira, Bellerin, Monreal are there as is Ozil

Mustafi, El Neney, Iwobi, Guendouzi, Kolasinac and Sokratis also spotted getting on the plane.

Emery isn't fucking around. Apart from PEA, Ramsey and Xhaka he's pretty much taking a full strength squad.

Most of those first team starters will be on the bench just in case a Wengeresque dose of "special circumstances" raises it's ugly head....

I think they'll play the last 20 like they did against Vorksla.

Emery is going for a record four EL title wins in a row.

Mkhitaryan not travelling as he's not allowed in Azerbaijan for political reasons.

Read that a few weeks ago but it didn't clarify if it's his own government stopping him or the Azerbaijani government. If it's the AzerbaijanI government then every one of their teams should be banned from all UEFA comps and the national team banned from FIFA.

Interesting take on the Micky Tarragon situation:

The final is in Azerbaijan too.... that might be an issue. Or not.

In this day and age it's unbelievable that UEFA permit a country, which essentially isn't European, to enter their competitions with this sort of shit being allowed to go on. Utter nonsense which only leads you to summise that whatever was in the Azerbanjo goody bags for the UEFA delegates must have been really fucking good.

:moderator: INFORMATIVE POST ALERT :moderator:

qurabag is pronounced "kara-bag", they are a club based in the azerbaijani town of agdam. the town has since been abandoned since 1993 due to the nagorno-karabakh conflict in which the armenian aided by allied russian and greek forces captured the region (aided by turkish militants) and told the native people to fuck off. qarabag have sinced made home in baku but play their league games in the intimate azersun arena, in which capacity barely goes past 5,000. many of their fans still come all the way from the contested region of nagorno-qarabag to watch them in baku

also, azerbaijan is technically straddling both europe and asia

thanks for your time 8)

Thank you for the free history lesson

Just going to nit pick a bit on your geography though mate

The Republic of Azerbaijan lies between the two continents of Asia and Europe. Azerbaijan’s total area size is 33,400 square miles, with around 2,687 square miles lying in Europe. So it does not really 'straddle' the two continents but rather has a couple of toes poking into Europe. They are not a European country and the reasons they have been welcomed by Europe are the usual ones i.e. we want your oil and to fuck Russia over

Should be an interesting game against the Azerbaijan Manchester City.

Hopefully we should have too much firepower for the Horsemen!
