Re: IN FIGHTING!?!?!?
What went on between Adebayor, Bendtner and Gallas towards the end of the match in the spud penalty area???
We did poorly enough today but that added insult to injury. Fights between players is no way for us to rebuild after this.
Hopefully they're in the dressing room now talking it all over and we will come back stronger from this.
i saw what happened ade slapped bentner in the face

Just got back from the Lane and obviously crushed etc lost to the **** etc etc. This was my main beef to however and I personally think Bendtner is the prick in all of this. He got in Ades face earlier on over what I believe was positioning. I presume they had exchanged words over Bendtners contributions and thats where my two cents came in. Who the fuck is Bendtner to start mouthing off and giving people shit when his finest contrbution to that game was sticking the ball in his own net. At least Ade came on grabbed a consolation and battled hard for what time he did. Bendtner is a lazy, disgraceful, arrogant wanker and I have absolutely no fucking time for him. Sure everyone immortalised him for grabbing the winner in the home derby in the league but one goal does not make a man and Bendtner should be ashamed of himself tonight as should alot of the guys who went out there and pretty much surrendered to the ****
I didn't see the crucial bits at the Lane tonight but have just seen what Sky had to offer - it doesn't quite show Ade hitting Bendtner but that only appears to be because the picture cuts away with the confrontation in the background. It certainly looked like Ade ran up to Bendtner and a moment later Bendtner was holding his face.the_gooner89 wrote:DISGUSTING and Dissapointed. I am affraid adebayor the big headed tosser really did dissapoint me tonight. what he done to bendtner was awfull i was watchign bendtner when ade came accros and biatch slapped him round the nose and had a right pop at him ,saw the whole incident. Not what arsenal is about. Im sorry this may sound harsh but hes lost a little respect in my oppinion. still love him though.
Not even close to being acceptable, I hope they both (and especially Ade) have the guts to apologise publicly.

To be honest, i dont mind such confrontations when we are not playing well and getting beaten badly. What Ade did is not acceptable, raising one's hand isnt the ideal thing to do, but its not too bad showing a little bit of passion. I would rather see players yelling than have them put their heads down and walk away. It shows that they are hurt and angry, which I think is good for the future.

ade & nic
it did look like ade having a go at nic which as someone as already says looks really arrogant (touch of the Henry's?), but as if it isn't embarrassing enough to be rucking with each other - wait until you get on the coach and don't do it at shite hart lane of all places - the shame.

it wasnt really needed, but there all youngish kids and havnt really been in that situation with getting embarrased, hopefully its a massive learning curve that they wont have to go through again. impressed with gallas interveening though...made up for his poor performance!!....it was never going to be our night once he started getting done by the gippo!
You will all be delighted to know that the fa(cnuts) have asked for video evidence of the incident and are looking into it to decide whether charges will be made or not. Amazing that a judas *word censored* can give the fans a 2 fingered salute at the end of a match with no charge, a scottish alco manager can rant and rave and make as many gestures as he likes and nothing but we have 2 players that try to bitch slap each other to death
and the fa are looking into it

I hate to say this, but I think it was Wenger who lost it last night! Got caught between not wanting to lose (!) and not wanting to risk important players from REALLY important matches coming up. And what happens? We get tonked anyway and now risk losing Ade for 3 matches if things go badly with the FA.... I still think that he should have stuck to his principles - at least we could then have said "it was only the kids"!
His own comment after the game "My only regret is playing the players who played...." says it all....!

It appears he head butted Bendtner! if this is true, I really hope Wenger comes down hard on him. This is on sky sports site -
Emmanuel Adebayor is 'sorry' for his clash with team-mate Nicklas Bendtner during Arsenal's Carling Cup defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.
During the closing stages of The Gunners' 5-1 loss, Adebayor appeared to butt Bendtner, and an altercation ensued.
The incident forced captain William Gallas to intervene in order to calm matters, while referee Howard Webb failed to see the entire row.
On Wednesday, The Football Association confirmed that it will look at footage, with the view to attaining whether the confrontation is worthy of charges which can be retrospectively issued against any individuals.
Adebayor has apologised for his and Bendtner's actions, explaining that the heat of the moment got the better of the duo.
"We are a strong unit and what happened last night against Spurs will strengthen our desire and determination to compete for other targets," he told the club's official website.
"Overall I think that we should have been more calm during the game and although I was pleased to get a goal back for the team when I came on, I am sorry for the disagreement with my team-mate Nicklas.
"We are both passionate about this club and sometimes that can be projected in the wrong way. It was a mistake. We want to focus on the games ahead and rely on our squad's great togetherness to achieve a fantastic season."
