Being played in the week when we used to have a CL play off.

Just hope we put out a strong team - doesn’t matter who we put in against City the following weekend, we will still lose that match.

Hope we go out straight away, same as FA Cup, the more we lose the quicker Arteta goes, if he wins a cup and we come 15th (yeah I know I'm a crazy optimistic guy) he will be here another year.

And I never had this line of thought before but even in his last years Wenger was a genius compared to this guy, fuck it I I would even have "Mr Ebening" back

Well needs must, we all knew Arteta wasn't the man for the job but I didn't think we could be as bad as we are,not just playing style, existing squad but what we are being linked to.

Edu needs to fuck off too mind with the board and owner but that ain't happening for decades, josh will take over from ferret head and so on.

On the brighter side I don't get upset over our losses now, I just expect them.

Agree on Edu, and sadly Kroenke Jnr holding the keys to the door for years to come. Relegation might be the only option

West Brom just won 4-0 to go top of the Championship

3 goals from set pieces

Now really looking forward to my trip up there next Wednesday!

Out of the League Cup before Summer ends

I read their first was an own goal following a long throw but thankfully we’re very good at dealing with them…

There are teams that have never used the long throw but I bet in the week before they play us they tell their players "hey fuck a few long throws into their box".

I watched the highlights and the long throw was causing Sheffield Utd problems and is a tactic they use.It was like watching Stoke play.

If he plays a bunch of kids and throws them to the wolves for this tricky old trip, I don't think my blood pressure will be able to take it

I wonder if this match has more significance after today ?

If we can’t even score here you have to start to wonder what is going on.

Arteta actually calls out the fact we need a win in midweek to give us the confidence to go to City. Nailed on loss then…. :barscarf:

Honestly think that this is a massive, massive game for lego head - he can dismiss defeats to title contenders citeeh and the chavs, but losing to the baggies would put serious pressure on him for the first time imo. With no european football he cannot justify rotating his squad even if he wanted to, but at the same time how does one figure out what the best 11 is anymore ? :? Ramsdale probably joined on the basis of getting the cup games, but after yesterdays result and leno's good performance, can he afford to change the keeper ?

There are so many ways that this can go horribly wrong, and a defaet would tell me if the tuttosport rumours about approaching conte are true, cos I really dont know if he can survive if he loses this game.

All that being said, I think that this is one of those games where he will get a result when he needs it most, just to ensure that he lasts a while longer in the job
