I reckon we will win this one. Although I thought the same for Southampton so what do I know. Auba will probably get a hat trick or something equally ridiculous! (Has he actually scored for them yet?!)
He scored on his debut for them last September then never again. Mudryk has also bombed since going there to fully expect both to score next Wednesday :suicide.
Don't mind them scoring Wednesday night as long as they don't score against us Tues night

I still have PTSD from last night

With Arteta in charge anything could happen. Expect us to play Vieira again. Plus Kiwior thrown in for Holding.

If we don’t buck up Newcastle are coming for us.

We won't buck up for a while yet - wait till the title has gone.

Newcastle aren't coming for us, Newcastle are waiting for us . Our lot are going to be absolutely terrified up there. The baying mob of horse punchers await. Talk about fear, you ain't seen nothing yet. Xhaka won't be giving it the big 'un up there, I absolutely guarantee you that.

And as Steve said, there'll be no bucking up yet, my God, if the title was at stake they wouldn't be able to "buck up". Thankfully there is nothing at stake.

Just read this thread from the beginning.....I really do not know where all this sudden confidence is coming from. Yeah, they're crap, but we are in complete disarray, why can't people see that. 7-0, what are you smoking? I don't even think we'll win, never mind get 7. Yea they're shit, but so are we atm. We couldn't get up for the Southampton game when the title was at stake, how are we going to get up for this?

If we score and Xhaka calls them in for that huddle thing that has endeared him to the brain dead, I'm done for the season.

1-1

Btw for anybody that is interested, Wenger is pontificating in the media about why we have fallen away in the.last 4 games :blah: :blah: . Like we need advice from the guy who made a yellow spine and collapsing an integral part of every Arsenal side for the last 15 years. God, is there anyone in football with less self awareness?

:D I've been saying 7-0 for ages, no need for smoking anything it's just wishful thinking. Who'd have thought Liverpool would slap Utd 7-0?
I'm with you in the sense that we might lose or get another silly draw but I like to have the thought at least of a 7-0 er. It would be truly brilliant if we beat these horrible scumbags by any score, the more the better.

The last time I dared to be confident was West Ham - a team that were on a one way freefall out of the PL, had lost their last home game 1-5 to Newcastle, whose fans had turned against them and were discussing who was going to replace Moyes when the inevitable sacking took place. Playing awful, non scoring football with a massive lump like Antonio up front - capable of losing to anyone, anywhere. The first 15 minutes of that game had me sensing my confidence was well founded - 2-0 up, they couldn't get a kick, their fans had gone and it was a matter of how many. I actually thought a record away win might be the agenda that day.

Cue the lazy, arrogant, mentally weak Partey trying to fuck about in a way I'd have been angry about if we were 5 up with 2 minutes remaining, and enter the fray Gabriel - a man whose decision making is so poor that he basically admitted to the penalty by sliding in with his hands up in the air! From there the whole mental fragility of the team was exposed yet again.

That was against a West Ham team who have been in danger of going down and lower than Chelsea all season - and certainly with a lower quality of player on the field. If we can make Antonio look like Ronaldo and Haaland rolled into one, and the following week can make Walcott look like Henry, then we can sure as hell make some of the world's most expensive footballers look brilliant whatever their current form.

Never underestimate our ability to kick start someone's season. Have a look at the City thread and some of the results we've had in past seasons when the pressure has been on. Teams that are currently kicking around at the bottom of the Championship have been able to nobble us. Teams that were relegated in those seasons. Southampton will be relegated this season. Probably Everton too. Chelsea won't be

With the personnel the Chavs have at their disposal they could stiffen us especially if they go ahead.I don't think we'll win a game until it's mathematically over then it'll be swatting season.

Chelsea, Newcastle, Brighton..........torrid, struggling affairs with more points dropped. Newcastle being the real fright fest. Forest, some swagger might return as the title will by then be a distant memory, Wolves at home will be a flat track bullying, swashbuckling performance with City now 8 points ahead of us.....followed by the lap of honor and huge celebrations. If you are looking for a 7 or 8 nil, the meaningless Wolves game will be the best option.

The thing, I think that will piss me off the most, is if the end of season celebrations are completely over the top as if we actually won something, rather than a low key, muted thanks to the fans. I predict the former, especially if we win big.

Once we have properly collapsed it will go down as one of the biggest bottling of a league title in decades. We have actually only lost once in the last 4. We will get a lot worse in the run in.
