I used to have a lot of respect for the blue scousers (mainly borne out of mutual dislike and the victims c.unts ) but I now view them as a stain on the premier league and like a team that the 1980s left behind - I know theyy have had managers in there (like moyes) that havent played the most skillful football, but at least there was some bit of exciting football in the team that made them at least watchable - nowadays they are a fcuking eyesore to watch and not helped by having scumbags like ashley young and pickford in their teams
I hope they go down this season, but make no mistake they will come with a defensive/negative gameplan that might be hard to breakdown unless we score early - the sort of form we are in god knows what we'll turn up with
Arsenal team to face Everton: Raya; Timber, Saliba; Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Rice, Merino; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli
Theres enough there to steamroll any everton team, but if the walk out of the tunnel like they did againt fulham and theyll suffer another draw or worse
Good to see Lewis Skelly get a start
I have a feeling he is going to be hard to shift from the 1st team from now on.
Exactly the sort of selection issues we want over this busy period and long term, I hope both Nwaneri and MLS get a lot of minutes their performances so far prove it would be well deserved.

If calafiori is fit then he is miles better than skelly - tbf when timber and calafiori are fit we have the strongest defence the club has had in years so that is no knock on skelly
Secondly though, Nwanieri had been playing well and still getting fcuk all game time behind badly out of form and some very shit players, so why would skelly be treated differently ?

Be interesting to see how Lewis-Skelly does against a team of Thugs....Merino needs to Set-Up and have a very good defensive game without getting booked or fucking up.
