Brighton bumholes A Sat Jan 4th KO 530pm

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The logistics of travelling to this game has always been shit. Heavy traffic and people always coming to blows boarding the coach back to the station because they are impatient.

I wonder what my old mate Pete Mountford is up to these days. Brighton boy who loves the Arsenal :barscarf:

Need the 3points at all cost. Timber being suspended is annoying. I think he picked up the yellow from a hospital pass by Martinelli.
My daughter lives in Brighton so I went to the Arsenal game at the Amex with Pete. We had to sit in the away end and keep our mouths shut. Nothing much to cheer anyway, it was Wenger's last season where we lost every away game, bar the last one against Hull.

Never heard from Pete again after Labour got eviscerated in the 2019 elections and after
numerous online political battles with Retro
😂😂
Funnily enough I did have a Facebook debate with Pete and some mates of his. It wasn’t nasty, but I don’t think they much appreciated my non woke stance.

Arteta say there is a possibility that Ben White could return to action before the end of this month

Could rice be a more reliable/disciplined choice over partey given the opposition he’ll likely face

I think it's a certainty he would be better than Partey 8) My 7 year old lad probably would too

Are you going to the game Falky? If so can you get your son to take his boots, I'll let arteta know so he can bench Partey. :D :barscarf:

Surely Zinny can invert from right back. :barscarf:

I think Rice would probably do a very good job at RB, he's an intelligent player and has decent speed and great tackling. To be honest, I'd rather see Martinelli at RB than Partey!!!

As for Zinchenko, I'm happy if he inverts along the touchline from the bench and then sits down again, no need for that nightmare crawling onto the pitch!!

Surprise Surprise, always was injured with us, yeah that veltman needs a proper knee high tackle, like the one he did to Rice yet somehow it was Rice who got carded, not seen a second yellow for this since Rice and Trossards :?

Why can’t Kiwior fill in at FB? He might not be Maldini, but he’s got to be a better option than the brain dead liability Partey.

Stop slagging off Party. He is a lot better than you give him credit for. I've been watching this game for a lot longer than most of you & if you want to slag off useless players think back to what we had in the 60's !!!. Probably before most of you were born. Lets enjoy what we have. Happy fuckin' new year. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Tbf a lot of them lads from the 60s can probably still move faster than partey, and without doubt can pass better than him too

If partey is right back today against mitoma, then I think he will get royally raped without vaseline to loosen him up, and we'll see then if you are as supportive of him. Playing rice or lewis-skelly there would be my preferred options

Extending Tomi’s contract was a massive mistake by the club, a proven sick note he should have been binned out the door rather than given a new contract. Disaster signing.
