I seen in one report that they suggesting that a tyre blew out when they were overtaking another car, and if that is the truth then at least there will be some witness or witnesses to give accurate account of what happened. It seems to me (a guy who isnt very knowledgable on car mechanics) that these sports cars go on fire every time they are in an accident - reyes was driving a sports car too and it burst into flames as well, so you would wonder if there is some fault or weakness in the way these cars are made that allow them to go on fire every time

Awful news, very sad for all concerned. I too had thoughts of Jose Reyes as soon as I heard.

I must have seen the same report as you.
There is also a heatwave across Southern Europe and I wondered whether that could have affected the structural integrity of the tyres

Sky sports naturally have their cameras at anfield filming fans paying their tributes (which is fair enough), but they record them singing the lamest version of you'll never walk alone that I have ever heard, and there is one dickhead in the middle of them with a guitar - who the fcuk turns up to something like that with a fcuking guitar ???

Paul Walker, the actor from the fast and the furious movies, also died in an horrific inferno when his Porche crashed. As you said, always seem to be these racing type cars that burst into flames.

While I understand the shock of tragedies like this I cannot understand to need to " own" the tragedy. The individual tributes on Social Media are more about the poster than the unfortunate victim of the tragedy. The reality about footballers is that we don't know them , we know them on the pitch and in the media or through their own Social Media posts. While Liverpool fans have lost a hero I can't understand the belief that they have lost a friend.
I'm not trying to be cruel but the need from this generation to own these tragedies, to be seen to be more publicly profound than the previous Social Media post, to use words and images to make it your grief and make it as important as the genuine grief of the family of the victim is again more about the poster than the victim.
The death of two brothers in a car accident is devastating for their family and friends, it is upsetting for the rest of the world, it is upsetting for the supporters of the teams they played for, and in time the respective clubs will mark the tragedy in a (hopefully) dignified manner. People who were not born when a legendary manager of the club was managing or even alive posting AI images of said manager welcoming the young footballer who died into heaven is in my humble opinion crass. Thoughts and Prayers is a cliche , let me be seen to grieve the loudest, but only in public is what it means.
