Wenger’s chickens come home to roost at Old Trafford.(17/2)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

6-1 up there
4-2 at highbury a few years back
4-0 yesterday
6-2 league cup at highbury

whenever we beat them in a big game its either 1-0 0r 2-1
i just we could give them a spanking for a change like newcastle did 5-0 a few years ago.
We beat them 3-0 twice in 1998 (Charity shield and at Highbury). Hope that helps. :)

And we beat them 4-0 at Highbury in the 1970-71 season (not that I was around at the time but just to show you that it has been done).

Be honest, it was humiliating. We were fucking crap. Thats twice now in a matter of weeks, first to the shite down the lane and now this up in manure. I took nothing but shit in the pub yesterday but it must have been fucking agony for the poor 9,000 that went through all the trouble of travelling up there and paying to have to sit through that. Arsene you fucked up big time again! Maybe you're not bothered about the League Cup or the FA Cup but all the gooners I know want to win anything to go on the shelf and I really think Le Boss has let the fans down with his flippant remarks like we kept our cool, more like fucking froze, I honestly dont mind losing but yesterday they were a fucking disgrace and most of them dont deserve to wear an Arsenal shirt. I think the Boss and the team should give their wages to the 9,000 who had to sit through that embarrassment.

Im so fucking pissed off cos that wasnt my Arsenal playing yesterday, and people are saying if we beat AC Milan on Wednesday? What you gotta be joking! I cant see how the fuck we gonna do that with what we got, I can see us getting stuffed in that one and I dont hold out much hope for the Premiership title after yesterday's performance.

WELL AND TRULY PISSED OFF DELGOONER

Spot on. I prefer Premiership and Champions League to the cups like many do. If we get knocked out of the cups and we challenge for these two, I don't care much about the cups. But getting thrashed is terrible, whether it is in a competition you like or not. 4-0 and 5-1 is a disgrace.

The shame is the Online Gooner's

5 points click at the top of the league ... chickens coming home to roost ... lets hope when the eggs hatch at the end of the season, it's on your face. Shameful post, the only thing worse than the performance is the turncoat behaviour of our blog-commentators.

er... the chickens that came home to roost were a reference to the idea that if you put out weakened teams in cup ties, and tell the players you'd rather lose than have a replay, eventually, you will get results like this. it's only relevance to the premier league is if key players get injured and we are forced to rely on the likes of hoyte and traore when we came to face chelsea and man utd away. there's no turncoat behaviour here, just an objective assessment of why things went so badly wrong at OT. Most fans seem to agree and are equally disappointed and - with good reason for those that made the trip and spent good money to support the team in the flesh - angry.
