Nice and hot in Milan

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Think it's been a total cock up by the box office. I know a mate who has got tickets that don't belong to him. were all ordered by the same person but posted to wrong address. And I'm still waiting for mine and mates tickets.

no mate, i haven't got them. my firend tells me that the club have said many people will have to collect them over there and they will need their ID to collect them. normally this will be the Milna Box Office but in this case may be an Hotel. i will find out tomorrow the arrangements.

i think this is naughty really when the website states that everyone will be in receipt of their tickets no later than 28th (tomorrow).

i understand that the tickets (if they have been transfered form one member to another) will have the names of both the original member and the new member.

apart form all that i'm fooking well happy about the trip, tomorrow is my last working day, before i go!!!

what time do yu arive in Milna, do you know yet?

i'm happy that i'm there for 2 days now atleast if i have to fanny around traveling across Milan looking for hotels to get the tickets, i have time on my side.

fingers crossed they turn up either today or tomorrow, without the club (arsenal) cancelling them, meaning they are void, and i need to get the replacement ones from Milan - long story and starting to get far too complecated for me :)

Just a few thoughts for those going to Milan, albeit from a 2003 Arsenal Experience.

* Bars mostly around the centre/cathedral area but cafes dotted around elsewhere.

* As I remember, quite a walk to the ground from metro station.

* We were kept in the ground until nearly midnight - and then escorted to metro station - kept outside the metro station - then escorted on to the metro so didn't start drinking celebrations until 1:30am!

There doesn't seem to be any drinking areas around the ground so unless you have some inside knowledge....

I doubt that's going to be a problem George - Especially if you're kept in as long as I was  You might just have time for 1 beer :)

i'm sure a pub will be open. sorry to sound too sensible (because i'm really not) but remeber you have a flight to catch and i'm not sure how strict the Italian police and airport staff are about drunken passengers etc.

i seem to remember a few posts on here about people who are in the same boat as you.

I've received my tickets :) . And I've received the tickets I ordered using AFC71's membership :) .

But now AFC71 has PM'd me saying that he has also received some tickets.... :?

I'm waiting for him to confirm whether they are duplicates, or whether they've sent him someone else's. Whatever, sounds like a recipe for disaster, so I'm going to make sure I don't leave it until the last minute to get in the ground....!
