Cus, do you really believe that we are likely to finish 1st or 2nd this season? Personally, and I said this before this weekends results, I believe we will finish this season in 3rd place. I hope to be proven wrong.

Yes.

Can't see us losing more than 3 in the PL this season.

Even if we finish 3rd it's still an improvement on last season.

We have Manure and Chelsea away and Liverpool at home as our stand out games. Tough as you like and I would think we will need 7 from 9 points from those games and I just can't see us doing it.

Chelsea when they win their game in hand will be 4 points behind, it is officially a 3 horse race.

It will be fucking exciting but 2 points from a possible 6 in last 2 games isnt championship form.

I'm with Wayno - we'll finish 3rd this season.

Prove me wrong Arsenal, prove me wrong.

You could have said the same for United a few weeks back when they got 0 from 6.

Ive been writing for 2 weeks now about

a) our lack of depth
b)wenger not buying experienced players

given we can afford them and THEY WANT TO COME-look at the difference the squad make to manscum and the russians.

its not good enough to be pleased we are top-sustained development- even if we win will Wenger strengthen???

cos im sure our rivals all the way down to N17scum will!!!!

smell the coffee blind faith is not enough!!!

cpmarkw - nail on the head is the term for you dear boy. What is it with Wengers stubborn stance on buying new players ??

Fucking weird.

Every player wants to play for a side who's winning things - actually adding something to the side to get it in such a position is another thing altogether.

And as for experience - nobody is born with it, it has to be acquired.

You want the finished product without realising they were once raw materials.

I'll never call for Wenger to be sacked but he needs to be out spending in the summer
our team is kinda small to the rest of the prem
with us when we play shit we are shit but with utd they can play shit but still win
Arsenal need to be a little like them TBH
They have all the prem players they need at the moment at Utd if Rooney is out Saha or someone else is able to replace him, maybe he's not the best in the land but he has that premiership players need & cope with in a league match
Players such as Gilbert (a random example) have got hardly any premiership experience & if a couple of the full backs were out he'd be in def trouble
Exprience is something we need, with the 2003/04 team there was plenty of it & quickly players like Parlour, Keown, Kanu etc etc left us & he didn't replace very well with most that left & thus leading to his new ways with only youth only
Wenger only spent £300k i think in the transfer window on that Luke Freeman & yesterday i was thinking about the ticket prices & how much they will go up
We made £3m on Dirria & thats hardly been touched along with the £50m + that was spoken about in the summer plus the money we spend on a matchday up to £3m as well but why couldn't Wenger spend any of it in the market? will the people upstaris consider the fans with the ticket prices & freeze them or even lower them (in my dreams) for another year

Ok Henry one of the greatest, if not the, player for Arsenal ever but look at the impact have on or two big time players on the team. Take my word it will unbalance the team. We all were saying at the start of the season next season is the one. Yeah a couple of additional players needed granted by no need to go breaking the bank (plus we will just pay for it in ticket price). Arsene is building his third great team.

I still think we can do it in the prem but 2nd not the end of the world and third a disapointment but an improvement. We could be in Liverpools position! Plus semi of CL a good season. A couple of good buys in the summer and all the way next season.

Arsene is not to blame here, he has just done so well he has upped our expectation beyind what it should. Roll on Milan!

So 3rd (not that we're actually gonna finish 3rd) and in a title race is not an improvement on 4th and not in the race at all after last year?

What about Blackburn at home - we played shit and still won.

United have played shit and lost four times this season.

In the league this season we've mostly played shit and drawn

At the end of the day, if any other man was in charge of us, then we wouldnt be top of the league.

People were expecting us to be battling for 4th.

Stop bein so dramatic and fickle.
