Wenger DOESN'T Know

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I don't know if you've noticed, but we've taken 4 points out of 5 games featuring the mighty Birmingham, Aston Villa, Wigan, Middlesbrough and Chelsea. Whether you're challenging for the title or not, that just isn't acceptable for a club of our standards. Today was the final straw. He always comes out at the press conferences and states how we're mentally ready and up for a fight, but when game time comes, there's nothing of the sort.

I personally can't see us winning anything again whilst Wenger is in charge (except maybe for the prestigious Emirates Cup), so although he's been very good for us, it's time for someone else to come in.

He just needs to learn to SPEND THE MONEY!

Wingers and a goalkeeper, that's all.

Oh, and maybe make subs more than 15 minutes before the end (or if at home 5 minutes!)

Def agree, Bendtner was far far far too late and Theo not really enough time. We had nothing to lose!

Your talking out of your arse man!

Your right by saying we needed to bring in more world class players to replace the ones who have left, but if Wenger leaves then i really fear our position as one of the heavyweights in club football.

Ok so its all his fault, get rid of him and bring in Graham Souness. The fact is we were flattering to deceive all season. We weren't as good as our record showed and that was all down to Wenger.

Arsene is still the man. Just needs to spend some cash and get rid of the dross, that's all.

Too f**king right. This is stupid emotional talk. Take a deep breath. Who hand on heart truly thought we would still be in it this stage of the season. Arsene has been a legend to talk about him leaving because we might only finish 2nd or third....oh and maybe win the champs leauge. This is stupid talk. Get a grip.........

Bullshit. We were a heavyweight in club football before he came, and we will be after he leaves. If we'd never won anything before he arrived, then fair enough. But he's continued our tradition more than anything.

As good as he's been, Wenger has underachieved at Arsenal. With a little more balls, we would've won:

- The League in 1998/99, 2002/03, and 2004/05.

- The FA Cup in 1999, 2001 and 2004.

- The League Cup in 1998, 2007 and 2008.

- The UEFA Cup in 2000.

But instead, we bottled it. All of those trophies should've been in our cabinet. Wenger is a runner-up, and always will be. Thanks for your work, but it's time for some fresh ideas.

Also, I'd happily take a bet with anyone who thinks we'll ever win a competitive trophy under Wenger again.

A bit more balls we would have won the FA cup in 99? I'm sorry did you not see the 2 legendary games against United? Was it Wengers fault that Bergkamp missed a penalty in the 90th minute? was it also his fault that Giggs scored possibly the best goal in FA cup history?

Of course we're fooking heavyweights!

How much did you drink during the game!? We're lucky enough to play world respected football and have the best stadium in the country. For the last 9 years we've been in the Champs league and every year we're top four.

Most players would trade their mum to play for us. We've gone through a tough time in the last couple of years - BUT THAT'S COS WE BUILT A NEW STADIUM!

All Wenger has to do is spend big in the summer to prove he hasn't lost perspective.

I will take that bet!!!! Assuming we are not including Amsterdam or Emitrates. I will bet you £20 that we will win a trophy this season or next under Arsene.

Im confident he will turn it round and we will come back better! Its easy to say but we need to think positive otherwise were finished for the rest of the season. So we should get behind the team and manager when they need us! We are at the moment still in a decent position in the champions league.

Also i wonder how many tickets will be returned to the club for bolton away? And many sold or passed on ??
