bullard

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

BULLARD ISN'T A RIGHT WINGER AND WOULD OFFER US NOT MUCH MORE THAN EBOUE DOES IN THAT POSITION. THIS REMINDS OF THE LATTER DAYS OF GEORGE GRAHAM, WHERE BECAUSE OF THE BOARDS TIGHTNESS, PEOPLE WERE JUST HAPPY FOR ARSENAL TO SIGN ANYONE - REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THEY WERE ARSENAL QUALITY OR NOT!!

I can't see why Bullard is rated so highly, never really see him do anything except score free kicks which he is good at. He's an average player and i really think we need to aim a little higher in the transfer market.

Don't think this kind of tomfoolery would go down well with Wenger or Galls either.

Bullard would make a useful squad player (though I agree with IHH that he's not a winger - right-wing's got to be given to Theo). Bullard has a decent range of passing, busts a gut and has a wicked free-kick.

But he's too old for Wenger to sign (almost 30 isn't he?).

As for nationality, I thought (through ancestry) he was German!

I rate him very highly i do but don't think Wenger would be interested in bringing him to the grove.

I suggested Bullard before as well. Now, Bullard would not win us the Champions League but he would get this vital points. He'd get the scrappy goal at Wigan which can give us 3 key points. He plays on the right-wing and the way it is now, he'd be a regular  He'd only cost around 3 million and I think he'll be happy to have around 15 starts (plus appearances off bench), with a good chance of medals.

I know that Bullard would not score the winning goals that will proper us to the Champions League. But it is no good having 15 world-class players (which we clearly don't) when you have no-one capable to step in.

He would be welcome to the squad.

Could be right midfield or play instead of Cesc if Cesc was suspended, next to a defensive midfielder.

Have to agree with IHH on this he is not Arsenal quality. Just because Eboue isnt good enough doesnt mean we have to replace him with someone like Bullard. Definate NO for Bullard as far as im concerned

Jim Bullard, Bullard
He's better than Steve Gerrard,
He's thinner than Frank Lampard,
Jim Bullard, Bullard

He has got a good song :)
