Replace one starting player with a legend

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Other than the ones already suggested, how about

Wrighty for Bendtner

or Pires/Freddie (01-02 form) for Hleb/Eboue

I'd go for Brady to replace the boy Rosicky. I'd not replace squad players just sure starters based on if all the current players were all available. Liam would have a field day against today's full backs and give us some real width.

There are many options such as jennings or a younger jens for almunia but I would have to go with either TA6 for gallas or PV4 for flamini simply because aside from the obvious skill they would bring I think the leadership they would bring to this team would be priceless :bowing21:

What a fantastic thread idea. 8)

The obvious one is Adams for Gallas/Toure but there are so many choices available that when you think about it for a few seconds, it makes the spirit drop a little. :(

It really is a bit frightening to think how weak this current side is perceived to be by the majority of fans, in contrast to past ones, when we would quite happily trade almost any player in the current team - except for Cesc and maybe Clichy & Sagna - for an old time equivilent. :( :(
