HOW DID YOU GET YOUR USER NAME

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ever since I was just a small boy, I've had an interest in "trucking and rigging". I know, all the other kids thought I was strange too - not playing cowboys and Indians or joining the local football team but, I was hooked on another drug!

Every day I saw those famous names whizzing by in a flash of rainbow colours - Eddie Stobart, Pittles International and Lily Transportation and couldn't help feeling jealous - I wanted to be on the road like them with their big beasts.

Unfortunately, due to my granny like arms and dislike of big horns, I couldn't pursue my dream. I was shattered but eventually learned to console myself by reading about "trucking and rigging".

Now the age of the internet has allowed me non-stop "trucking and rigging" pleasure, none more so than:

"Truckin' and Riggin'" is my life.

Years ago there used to be a cartoon about 2 dogs (a father and son) and the father used to say to him "augie my son my son". Somewhere around that time there was a bus load of us in the pub after a gaelic match and my father who had consumed a pint or 2 ( ) augie my son my son. Needless to say it stuck ever since

The source of augie's name has been bugging me for a while, and am glad that little mystery has been resolved. But galasso, that is a truly shocking insight into your soul!

Nothing needs to be said to explain mine .... does it??

Always had the nickname Flash as a kid due to having the same surname as the superhero..... Used to bug me as a youngster but got used to it and now think there were far worse things that people get called and the gunner bit is obvious, always loved our nickname The Gunners best nickname in football

The reason behind my name is simple...............

Spuddy's mum used to say to me "You have similar length and girth as that Arsenal player Gus I shag"!

My name is Gus and an old man at the golf course when I was younger started calling me gusher, so it just became my nickname, then I just added the name of my favourite band at the end.
