WENGER FLYS TO GENEVA - SIGNING IMMINENT?

I think we should sign him on his name alone.

Don't know much about him but wasn't impressed by what I saw in Euro 2008. Seems very limited to me and from memory doesn't appear to be the tigerish ball winner we require. :(

I really hope Wenger is after a better quality midfielder than Toulalan appears to be.

More likely he is going over there to help sort out psg's troubles instead of staying home to sort out ours  If he is going over there to do that and/or to commentate on the french game I dont want to hear him bullshitting later in the week about being too busy to sign anybody :banghead:

it's already been mentioned that he covers france games for french tv - channel is TF1 and he does the same thing mark lawrenson does for the bbc alongside motty... except when he opens his mouth some intelligence comes out instead of drivel.

i'd prefer him to be signing a player rather than commentating on a football match, but it's a long standing arrangement.

he worked as a pundit for french tv at france 1998 and for japanese tv at korea/japan 2002. as i only went to germany for 3 days in 2006 and kipped in my car i have no idea what he got up to, but suspect he was in the commentary box by then...

Would be nice tho if he bought a player while he is out there

I heard a rumour at the start of the summer that we was after some youngster from PSG called Clément Chantôme.

Apparently he is supposed to be a great ball winner and similar in style to Flamini.

Not what everybody was probably expecting, but if his play compliments cesc's in the way Mattys did last year i will be very happy :barscarf:
