To boo or not to boo (28/8)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

On this occasion (the WBA game) I did boo once at Greedycashwhore and I think I was fully entitled to!

Not because of a player getting too big for his ridiculous green boots and trying to engineer a move away and/or a new lucrative contract. Players come and players go I understand that. I also understand some players have more reputable agents than others.

I booed Adebayor for one reason only! His lack of integrity and respect towards the fans! The guy got caught out giving one statement in a TV interview only to give a completely contradictory statement in his next interview ten minutes later. To top this off when the summers saga came to an end the disrespectful tosser insulted our intelligence by saying he knew nothing about what had been going on all summer as he had his mobile turned off!

Oh really! Please and do me a favour!

You are here by default that is all and largely due to the fact the clubs you courted didn't fancy you as much as you did them. You would be nowhere near N5 now if they had made real efforts to sign you and came close to the values reported.

I won't boo you again but I will NEVER sing your name again no matter what you do. If you score I will cheer because Arsenal scored, end of story.

Just as an add on to this I really cannot believe that some are making a concious effort to sing this guys name already! He lied to you and then made a pathetic effort to rebond with us by kissing his badge. Surely you can see this act was false and rather desperate?

In the long run is it just as bad for the club to sing a players name who lied and tried to cheat us as it is to boo him?

i did not boo him but this post is spot on.

I think booing one of our players (like it or not that's what he is) is counter productive.

I thought I heard his name being chanted the other night against twente?

The point is we need this guy to be in form and bag us 20 plus goals, so just dont sing his name, make him work hard for that privelige, but dont boo him either.

Senderos was never booed but I'm sure he felt the groans around the stadium on numerous occasions.

(picked up the first bit of the Clichy chant on telly- I like it! what is the whole thing?)

Booing anyone on the field in an Arsenal shirt is totally out of order.
I head some muppets on Wednesday night - all I can think of it that they were not real supporters just fly by nights that manage to get to 1 or two games a season.
Yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion - but to boo is a disgrace.

I was more incensed with the people leaving 15 mins early - piss off down the road and support the spuds and leave the tickets to the real fans that stay to the end. Before anyone slates me I was born and bred in Islington but now live outside London and have never left a game early in my life not even when I was expecting.

i feel no reaction to him would be a good idea, no singing his name but no booing, thats what im doing, but we know that if he scores the goal that wins us the champios league it will all change
