I can understand why some people HAVE to leave early, or feel the need to - small children, older people wanting to get away from the rush. But last night was the worst I have ever seen. The Stadium was 70% empty with 3-4 minutes left in the game. Surely not all of those people had to leave SO early?
The only thing worse than the empty seats was the Club claiming there were 59,500+ in there to start with! I mean, if that was the REAL attendance, then the place must hold the best part of 70,000.

I'd like to inform any of those early leavers.
I suffer from an anxiety disorder where I don't like being surounded by 60,000 noisy people and often come close to passing out.
Beer usually helps calm me down, but being a Euro game there was none on sale.
I now live 40 miles away from the ground and at the end of the game usually walk to Angel because I can't stand packed underground stations.
I stayed until the final whistle - so what's your fucking excuse?
I even walked around our near empty stadium and left from an exit the opposite end from where my seat was. I only left the ground as while I was watching the goals on the big screen a yellow bibbed Nazi ordered me out the stadium.

lucky for you it was the emirates so noise level wasnt too much of an issue lol. tbh we all can plead our cases. I for one left with 2/3 mins to go cause not only did i need to get the 22:30 train back but i also have to be up at 5am for work. The same work which i bust my fooking ass at just so i can afford to go to the odd game when i havent got debts or bills to pay so if thats not a good enough excuse tough shit really. personally i can understand the POV that 10 mins before FT is pretty bad and it doesnt look great but if a fan has paid their money the same as you then thats too fucking bad if you dont like them leaving early. tbh i feel that alot of people just use this argument so that we can spark off another im a better football fan than you are and im more loyal blah blah blah blah. Im far more concerned with the amount of people i sit next to at the emirates who know f all about the club and alert me to the fact their only there because their company had a spare for the game. Im willing to bet a few 1000 season tickets are held by people who dont even support the club to the fullest extent. Tell me where the justice in that isCus Geezer wrote:I'd like to inform any of those early leavers.

i was lucky enough to be sitting in club level for the FC twente game, using a mates relatives season ticket. It was ridiculous...a couple of people nearby left after we went 2-0 up. People were leaving left right and centre with FIFTEEN minutes still to play, and there was a whole row behind us (im informed are season ticket holders seats) who didnt even show up!!
If you're not going to go at least give someone else the pleasure of going!! Seriously, it can't take that long to sell the tickets on TX!!!

I live in West London, and, in over 20 years, have only ever left early once - that being when my partner was 8 months pregnant.
The club should bear some of the blame, mind. If Drayton Park was used in both directions, so that those going to Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage could get out to an adjacent station, that would certainly help.
The situation with Holloway Road could also be resolved.
That said, if each minute costs you 50p, why chuck away a fiver?

When the team plays like they did today, I think people should try and make an extra effort to stay until the end, and applaud the team from the field. They deserved better!MizzNaughty wrote:loads of early leavers today tooits really annoying! why cant people just stay put for a couple more minutes ugh
There are allways reason's, but there is no escuse for leaving earlier.
Anyone oF those early leaving people, just imagine to be in my shooes, good what i would give just to a have a chance to be within a crowd once, only once in my life. U guys have something special that a lot of people dream of, and you just cant use it to the last moment.

Exactly how I feel KAQAK. As a strict rule I don't leave matches early. Have only done it a couple of times in all my times going to matches, and they were for genuinely good reasons.
People were leaving 15 minutes early yesterday, couldn't believe it. Only thing you can do is ask them why they're leaving and inform them that game isn't actually over. All you get is some mumbling about a tube. Why don't people just have a pint after the match for an hour and wait for Holloway Road to open.
You're going home
You're going home
You're late for dinner
You're going home
Why you come here we don't know
Why you come here we don't care
All we know is you are going home
Of course there's notable exceptions but the amount of people who were shamed into standing at the tiop of the stairs and trying to sneak out backwards yesterday upon hearing that I think said it all...
BTW G88ner - what you make of Conor Oberst last week? Fucking brilliant band he's got there, loved it!!
