I don't see how they can justify paying 6 Million to that twat Johnathan Ross, 5 Million on between show animations, Stricly come you your face and all the other bullshit and not pay out to show the national squad highlights. Football is no longer a national sport if you cannot be supplied it as part of normal existance. I pay a licience fee for owning TV, the BBC apparently show well constructed informative television proportionate to that of the population. I like football. so where the fuck is it you crunts.gus ceasar is a legend wrote: The BBC had every right to bid for this and should have but they are fucked seriously for money.....I know as I used to work for them.

The BBC became throughly fucked when the govenment refused to raise the licence fee by the 25% the Beeb were banking on a few years ago. This on top of an overspend of approximately £100 million on the Broadcasting House redevelopment screwed them. They are also contractually obliged to finish the second phase of this project at well over double the original estimate.
They are currently trying to sell off Television Centre to try and raise funds and drop huge costs for a building that is still in the analogue age and that exists only for live broadcasts such as Test the Nation and election night specials.
There was huge rows when I left about the amount of redundancies being made whilst at the same time giving Ross and Chris Evans huge golden handcuff deals and also paying Chris Moyles whatever he fancied that week.
The truth is that the BBC is a publicly funded dinosaur which cannot compete in a privately owned commercialy driven world. ITV can put the price of its advertisement slots up whenever it likes or it can charge huge amounts during primetime shows. The Beeb cannot do this and have a licence fee which in truth is fucking cheap when you think of the hours of broadcast you get on both radio and TV. For that reason the BBC have outsourced at a lower cost everything they can and make virtually sod all programmes now as it is cheaper to buy them in from companies who produce them with half the overheads. Know you get all these ads on BBC now basically highlighting other areas of the BBC? They are simply there as fillers becuase independant TV producers make a programme 23 minutes long now instead of the old 28 minutes to allow for the ad breaks.
Until the BBC is funded differently you will only see the protected sports events on the channel which are The Open, Wimbledon, Grand National and the Derby as well a few others I cannot think of. Do not hold your breath though and up until then you will have to get used to cheap and cheerful sports such as snooker and crown green bowls!

tried cancelling it to get them to reduce it. Doesn't work. they want to know your sky card number/post code which will then officially cancel it. So i just hung up. I dont want to cancel it, i want them to drop it to £5-7.50 a month. Others as suggested have done this so why cant i
any tips etc? i rang again spoke to another woman who tells me i have to write to cancel it. While the 1st guy asked me why, and then told me to press 1 and then 4 on the answer phone message, then he asked my for my sky number?

People such as Jonathan Ross are not on nearly as much money as the media said they were.Gurmokh wrote:I don't see how they can justify paying 6 Million to that twat Johnathan Ross, 5 Million on between show animations, Stricly come you your face and all the other bullshit and not pay out to show the national squad highlights. I know a few people paid by the BBC and the BBC themselves reported wildly incorrect figures on their own news show!
