Song may be great at making interceptions but he still cannot tackle. Diaby still doesnt have a posistion at arsenal. Becasue he cannot play CM or LM.
Absolutely agree 100%/ All this fucking bollocks about AW discovering a new 4-3-3 system. Would that be the one that sees Bendtner, our only aerially capable forward, hugging the touchline. Most definitely 4-5-1 how he plays it

I take your point about the midfield pecking order g88ner but lets be honest diaby is nowhere near good enough (and should be sold with some haste), denilson has badly regressed, song is average and nasri is not a central midfielder despite what wenger will try and tell you so at the end of the day we are still fcuked in a fundamental area :x

I like the fact that you too are seeing the probs with this system cos I reckon the players aint got a scooby doo where they are meant to be :?

I don't think Song has been too bad in pre-season or toward the end of last season.

I genuinely believe that if Song came out in a Vieira look-a-like suit, people wouldn't be half as critical of his performances, because they really aren't that bad... and, I may be in the minority, but the more I see of Song, the more I'm convinced he has a bright future in our midfield!

Tonight was, without doubt, a 4-5-1 and a negative formation as the wide players offered very little support to the striker.

But, I still believe that with Arshavin & Theo in wide areas, it can definately work... but only if they support the striker, and we have runners from midfielder!

You are letting the options of Denilson/Diaby and Ramsey cloud your judgement, A club like ours should not be heading into the new season on our arse again.

And if he does KNOW, then he should go with Bischoff/Diarra/Flamini/Gilberto/Vieira and every other centre midfielder he has sold since we last bought one and remember Baptista was his answer.

Bendtner Right wing again........................Please!!!!

The thing about song is that the guy is fcuking useless in the tackle - you can dress him up as PV4 or pele or whoever but he will still be shown up as alex fcuking song when it comes to putting in tackles and there really is no getting away from that

He does what bert used to do well (although not as well as bert did it) and that is intercept balls played into the opposition forward lines feet. However bert had PV4 alongside him to actually win the ball back and provide that needed physical presence

what the hell did he do wrong?
 It's replies like this which make me not want to post on here any more. It's almost as if you're not allowed to have an opinion which differs from someone else.

Well, seeing as you asked, he let in a soft goal. A tight angle, at the near post, and he lets it through his legs. I can honestly say that I don't think a top class goal keeper would have let that in. On top of that, he is a proven liability. In my opinion, we'll be much better off if he doesn't see the first team again. Trust me, no one wants to see him succeed more than me, but I'm not comfortable with having a goalkeeper in the side that I support who concedes goals like those. Let's face it, it's not exactly a one-off.

How was that? I hope I explained myself properly for you.

To be fair TS I do think that he was noticeably injured before that 2nd goal
