WOLVES AWAY

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Diaby was looking as shaky as ever again but apart from that everyone else was fucking fantastic as usual.

The Wolves fans really are deluded cants aren't they, fucking idiots!

Early days and looks like you're going down you useless wankers...tata!

Great result - I would have settled for a 4.1 win before the game. Yes it's annoying to see us concede but hopefully as the season goes on they will cut out the silly late goals.

I thought the Wolves fans were quality... fair play to 'em! 8)

By the way, I thought that was one seriously good performance by Arsenal today.

Up until the late goal, I thought Vermaelen was having an almost perfect performance.... what a player Arsene has unearthed! superb.

First real mistake by Vermaelen tonight! Can't even blame Almunia for that one (makes a change).

I thought overall it was a decent performance without us ever getting above 4th gear. You could see there was more in reserve if needed.

Glad to see Diaby get an injury. Shame he has an international break to recover. If you are one of Rosicky or Nasri and you're sat on the bench watching him play then you must feel really pissed off.

WasRVP going for Adebayor prize for the most offsides in one game today?

I don't see why :? ... not if they've got any brains or at least an ounce of intelligence!

Nasri only returned last week from a broken leg, and Rosicky returned to the bench vs. AZ following another layoff so it would be ridiculous, and disappointing, if they really were pissed off so easily.

Sorry Spuddy, but I think you're looking for a problem where one doesn't exist. Nasri and Rosicky will get their chance.

augie wrote:Ok two of our goals were og's but it was a game we were almost in total control although to be fair you would expect that. I thought diaby was shaping up to have another 'mare before his injury as he lost possession and poor passes were again in evidence

I thought that TV5 and Ramsey were both immense tonight and the young welshman brought a higher level of energy and tempo that diaby and song simply cannot bring to the table.

I know jody craddock has a free run for their goal so somebody lost him but where the fcuk was almunia going ?? :? When the ball was flying into the net he was scampering back towards his goal and in no position to save it  Christ he was standing 2 yards behind craddock when he headed it in
Exactly my thoughts Augie.

Great result and easy for the beer to take over but you have to say we looked shaky in those first 25 mins. After that it was counter-attacking at its most devastating in the first half.
I'm too long in the tooth to get ahead of myself but all I can think at the moment is that we're fantastic going forward (how good was Cesc today?)but defensively against the top teams remains to be seen.

Let's just enjoy the result. Another pint please barman... :barscarf:

Good important win with tomorrows game coming. Hope for a 0-0 draw tomorrow. If a team has to win I'll take a 1-0 win for United.

The turning point was the Diaby injury he was poor again till he went off. With Rosicky and Nasri now fit lets hope Diaby is out for a while  Ramsey showed given a run in the team what a talent he could become

To all those who say who cares about clean sheets against Chelsea a clean sheet could be the difference between a draw or a win.

Zubar is one of the worst players I've ever seen.

Great performance today just a shame there's an international break to halt our momentum again. :barscarf:

For gods sake guys leave the Wolves fans alone. I have a friend who is a really devoted wolves fan. They are real supporters and certainly don't have any JCLs. Their singing was brilliant. I thought the "4-0 and you fucked it up" was class. Irony anyone?

For them today was the equivalent of us hosting Real or Barca. They will have enjoyed that and have enough to take away to be proud of.

Fantastic result and a game we could seriously have fucked up and the sort we have done in recent seasons. Happy and pissed gooner this evening. :D  :db10_2:

My point is, we are a team that half of them buy tickets for, just to see. They knew we were better but still sang their hearts out. In other words most of the people on here have more in common with them than the JCLs we suffer from at the Grove.

PS sorry about the English but have drunk a bit. 8)

dunno about that like- wolves have a lot of fans. i reckon arsenal coming to town added 5k or so onto the gate, but if you're suggesting half of the wolves end just wanted to see AFC i reckon you're a fair way off to be fair
