Barnet

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Walcott can't even put in a good cross against Barnet. And he barely even managed to get the cross in at all. He certainly didn't beat the guy.

LOL.. You blind blind man. Theo beat his man time and time again, stood up 3 or 4 really good crosses to the far post, looked very sharp and dangerous whenever he got the ball

What have we learnt;

1) Arshavin is still awesome.
2) The 2 players(Almunia and Eduardo) who are likely to be sold dint play.
3) Jay Simpson is still an Arsenal player for now
4) Traore is our only fullback who can cross but sadly cant defend and hence may have no future with us.
5) Frimpong really wants to be Song's understudy.
6) Theo is angry  his touch seems to have improved but he still can't cross.
7) Barazite dint score against Barnet
8) We have a defender with "Barca DNA"(Ignasi Miquel) atleast thats what we will hear when he become awesome
9) Laurent Koscielny will need alot of time to cope physically
10) Same with Johan after a year out
11) Hence we need a quality DEFENDER AND I DONT MEAN SOL.

By the looks of it, does this mean Sol isn't signing a new contract then?

I was actually talking about one specific cross, but the others didn't really inspire me either.

He still has that knack of putting in the same ball to the far post time and time again without having the foresight to check whether or not there's a player there to get on the end of it. The amount of times you hear commentators say, "It was a good cross, just a shame there was no-one on the end of it". I say poppycock. You can't just play the ball willy-nilly, however good it is, and just shrug your shoulders when there's nobody on the other end. You're supposed to use your brain and football intelligence to ensure you're finding a team-mate. Herein lies the problem.

Edit: Glad 'GunnerDude' agrees with me: "his touch seems to have improved but he still can't cross".

Guess we must both be blind!

Well he was getting married this afternoon, so I'm pretty sure he wasn't able to pull double-duty...
