"Meh" is the reaction from me. Totally indifferent on this one.
can't understand that at all. hasn't he got a contract with lille? so how the hell are we supposed to agree personal terms BEFORE lille agrees to sell him and the fee??

anyway, it's a lot more common for the club to deny a transfer than a player, so it makes no sense at all.

i don't remember any of the clubs you mention queuing round the block when we signed dennis bergkamp, thierry henry or robert pires as well.

and if that's not strong enough an argument, then i don't know what is.
oooh, that's not quite right.

Real Madrid, Juve and a few other clubs were after RP.

TH will give you, as he knew AW and was going to end up with him again.

DB - well, that was a brilliant bit of work.

Rigsby some people are never happy? With recent years its hardly a surprise is it. I've heard this guy called a poor mans Walcott for fuck sake.

Who gives a fuck what he done in France? Look at every French signing we've made most of them done nothing in France, or turned out crap.

You are an AKB hanging on to hope about a player youve never even seen play.

Btw if he "played at the world cup finals" is the best you can come it with, well needs no further comment....

Hazard is 3 times the player, and Grinch Wenger knows this, but he would prefer to get some cheap African crap that will be off sunning it half the season every year.

United get proven PL quality Ashley Young, again why not spend the extra money on proven players?

Too right, mate. I can't get excited or even remotely enthusiastic about this bloke. We've been here so many times before it's laughable and quite frankly most of the fans have lost faith in Wenger's ability to make decent signings. The club have no ambition and this bloke is a Europa League quality signing- the type of average player that the scousers would buy a few years back. Nothing is going to change, players may come in but they ain't going to be the missing ingredients.

i have to admit that even though i only saw a couple of matches out of gervinho and hazard, the latter seemed 10 times a better footballer than the former.

hope i am wrong

Oh yeah Irish I'm an AKB am I? Why don't you read what I say. You're argument has been put to bed by others, but this comment
Hazard is 3 times the player
is fucking ridiculous when you're arguing against signing the other lad. Hazzard is 20 and has played in the french league, which supposedly is shit according to yourself and others. He's less fucking experienced than Gervhnio. If we'ld have gone to sign Hazzard you would have moaned about 'another fucking 20 year old' wh has only done it in a shit league.

I don't think Wenger is the right man for us anymore, but I'm nto going to shoot down the guys signings atm when he's signing someone in a position which we need, a wide man. This is a positive one and i'm looking forward to seeing him play for us. He might be shit, we'll have to see. Its a risk with every player you bring in.

But I don't like the complete negativity that every player Wenger is in for is 'shit' and every player we miss out on would have been the answer. Its not just you Irish, so I'm not aiming it only at yoursef.

And yeah I would say a World Cup finals is good experience, as is being a full international.

Henry, struggling at Juve, Dennis struggling at Inter, Pires,Wenger had stolen a march on him long before he signed. These are supposed to be the creme-de-la-creme(no pun intended) of the French League yet it's only us that's ever interested in these players. Why, because there either out of contract or got a year left, AKA Cheap !!

Who qued up for Hernandez?
Let's ee what he does next year now that clubs know all about him . I call it the Macavennie syndrome. 1st year at West Ham couldn't stop scoring, 2nd year still couldn't stop scoring, unfortunately for the Hammers it was in Stringfellows Tramp or Hollywood's !! :sex2:

Sagna apart all of them had experience at the top level and some even in England.

What about Silvestre, Koscielny, Clichy, Squallaci, Diaby, Chamakh, all recent signings.

Time to dust up on your history my south american comrade - Bergkamp came to us from inter (one of the clubs mentioned above) after having a poor first season in serie a which led to them ruthlessly dumping him but prior to that he was one of the most sought after players in europe.
Henry came to us after a similar poor debut season with juve who were one of the elite clubs in europe at that time. He had signed for them as one of the top young prospects in europe so you cant say that no top clubs had tried to sign them when top clubs had signed them and sold them onto us after 1 meagre year

If anyone thinks this guy will improve the side they are seriously deluded.

There was alot more hype and stat pulling, and talk of experience about Chamakh, who actually did have CL experience, and was free, and even then look how he has turned out?

I remember some on here telling me he worked as hard as Tevez and was a physical beast. Now Chamakh is a decent player, but this guy isnt as good so why are we buying him?

I dont rate Ashley Young as top class, far from it, but I would be a damn sight happier to have him come here than Old Trafford.

It comes down to that at the end of the day, who do you think is better Young or Gervinho?

If hes not better than United subs why are we buying the bloke. Anyway thats enough IM OUT
